Thread: Limited usage but a new idea
A friend and I were discussing the importance of who gets the first shot in a battle and how it is usually the determing factor of who will win, especially in higher skill levels. So, for duels at least, we thought it would be a good idea to have a 3 or so second count down once the player accepts the duel.
Maybe it's fair now, but it seems like the person who makes the challenge is the one who is going to get shot first 95% of the time. For us rifleman, the first shot can mean the first kill. (And depending on who you're dueling, they'll normally try to knock you down with plain old carbine or pistol before incapping you.) The importance of the the first shot can be seen from any weapon user. This definately gives you the momentum in the fight. So, does anyone know what governs who really gets the first shot when dueling somebody? If you're both spamming a shot seemingly before the duel starts, does weapon speed take over, or is it like I was saying where it's the person who accepts the duel who gets the first shot most of the time?
