Well... i got about 30k combat xp i need to master our craft... for some reason, it's going really really SLOWLY for me right now... (it's the last skill this guy needs to becomplete...)

My plain is, and was to master out this guys skills, and start my Jedi seeking toon on my brother, and sisters server... we are all starting new Jedi or bust toons together...

Well, i really want to master out rifleman and have my skills complete before i start... I masterd CH over the weekend, and got 2 of my last 3 rifle blocks... now all i need is specals 4... and master... which I already got the app xp for...

SO, I'm looking to make combat xp at break neak speeds, so i can get started on the long road to jedi... and suggestions?

If you kill something using ONLY Bleeds and Grenades, all the XP you get from that critter will be pure Combat XP. You'll get 11x as much Combat XP from killing a critter this way as you would from shooting it to death.

So drop Mindshot 2 + Mindshot 1 on something, then throw a grenade at it. Then run around until it dies from the bleeds. Make sure you hit Peace so you don't accidentally auto-defend if it hits you.

I did try this several times yesterday, but could not get it to work. However, I was using it when keeping the target busy with a big pet. Is that the mistake? Did my pet too much damage, so nothing was left for me? I only got the 1 point CH XP... Is this technique meant to be used with kiting only?

Yep. Or traps, if that's yer bag.

Just as a note, there are some things that will give me more Combat XP if I kill it with grenades and bleeds than I would get as Rifle XP if I killed it in the normal fashion. Rogue Bagerasets are an example. If I just shoot one and kill it normally, I get like 200 or so Rifle XP and 20 Combat XP. If I bleed it and hit it with a grenade, I get 567 Combat XP plus an additional 56 Combat XP.

So if you wanna go this route, try some critters that you stopped hunting due to low XP. They may give you more Combat XP than you think, and they'll be easier to kill.

Healing in combat works as well. If you use a pet, rather than healng them outside of combat, pop /peace, run and heal, then go back to fighting during combat. I am not sure if this works with pet stims, but it definitely works with regular stims.

Obviously this method works far weapon other than rifles though since you'll need to be reasonably close to your pet.

In groups, you could just play medic and not shoot at all, and probably get more combat exp than if you shot.

ob's patented method to getting combat xp:

Find creature.

Kill said creature.

Repeat, repeat, repeat.

Optional: join a group for additional fun. (look for a squad leader! )

As an MCH it is easy.

Go to dath, get greater baz natch missions. Use a Graoul Mauler, put him on the lair. let all the GBN aggro to him. Flushing2 till finished. you will average 400-500 combat exp each, 12 per nest.

vopn said it right: dathomir is where it's at.

the same tactic can be used for Kamurith Defilers. (though they poison, so have stims ready.)
