Thread: Muon gold not having effect on secondary stat

I probably should ask this in the smuggler board, but since most here are users of muon gold I figure I also ask here.

I got a couple of crates of these. Been using it for the last week or so. Been working fine cept for once. Then last night I was on Lok and out of the 5 that I ate only 1 actually boosted my secondary stats to 1100. The max for those secondary stats show 1100 but neither focus nor willpower will go up to 1100. Has anyone else ever had this happen?

WHen using more than 1 buffing item, any food or spice will ONLY increase the max of a secondary substat, not the actually value. If you are only using 1 food at a time (and are NOT doctor buffed), then it will work as it should. But if you try to use 2 or are doctor buffed when using the first, expect your 2ndary stats to get messed up.

The fix "should" be in the next patch.

Aaaah that explains it, yea I was buffed by a doctor at the time, and I had consumed a chef food the other time. Thanks for the info, I was getting worried my char is getting yet another bug

I've seen that crossing a server boundary can correct this.

i cant wait for this to be fixed... if i lay off it for a day or so i can use it once or twice and it works normally... butany more thanthat andmy stats stay permanantly screwed up for a long time. sometimes if i migrate a point here and there it resets it.

Last night I got a full-HADoctor buff first. Then I found a Master Musician in the Cantina and got the secondary mind stats buff (/setperform). When I did a /stoplisten, the MAX of my secondary mind stats doubled, but the actual value statyed the same (as was explained in a previous post to thisthread above).

However, I immediately ate a Muon Gold, and when the downer wore off (13 minutes later), my actual mind values now stayed at the doubled level and stayed that way till the buff died.

Is there an easier (i.e., quicker) way to get your actual values to go up if you have double-buffs?

more wierdness. yesterday i got the muon to affect all 3 of my stats... permanantly. (all were over 1000/1000 even after the downer)

of course as a tradeoff my health secondary stats totally broke (none over 150) and the same with my action.

I have had two circumstances where I have odd things happening with secondary stats. One time, I had armor on when I took the muon gold. I noticed that my mind use was not performing as I expected, and realized it was because the armor was affecting the stats current values (even though the max stats were high due to the enhancement). I took off the armor, and found, to my surprise, that the current stats did not jump to their max values.

I have also found that there can be similar problems when your stats are stressed (for instance when you have somewounds to the stats) when you take the muon gold or when they are enhanced by something else (as indicated with other posts). After the downer cleared, the statsmay not return to their normal values. Most recently, after getting an entertainer buff, my maxes jumped, but my currents stayed at their normal values, as was also indicated elsewhere.

Before this last incident, I found that the only way I could correct the problem and get my stats back to their normal values was to exit the game and reboot the computer before starting the game back up. I do not know if this works becausesome temporary file gets cleared in that process or if itjust means that I have been logged off long enough forthe server to delete my object, but just logging off and coming back into the game does not always work.

Of course, logging out can clear doctor or entertainer buffs, so I did not want to log out and lose the buff. But since the stats were acting like there were mind wounds, so I decided to sit and watch/listen for a bit as if I had mind wounds to be healed. In a very short time, my stats came up to the buffed maxesin a short period of time.

I do not know if this will work in other circumstances, but it did in this latter case. So if you encounter problems, you may want to drop by the cantina for a bit and see if your stats get corrected.
