Have you guys mulled over the idea of recommending a tactic like this to the devs:

Basically, the ability called disguise, where a rifleman could disguise themself as some low level monster like a rill or gnort so they can sneak a peak into enemy territory while showing up on the radar as a harmless yellow dot. Put a timer on it so that they can't fire while disguised or maybe a minute thereafter. Maybe a smaller timer would be okay if they were attacked under disguise at a drastic penalty. I'm not sure the tradeoff of the character actually LOOKING like that mob, but maybe just a tactic that confuses the enemy radar signal.

I dunno, I was reconing AH a week ago and thought this would be a great idea that wouldn't be OVERLY abusive.

Another idea that HAS been mulled about is having player-crafted radars. GOD would this be nice! Having some slight advantage over your opponent by having a better crafted radar, or enhancements! Maybe even jamming capabilities. We can only wish!

Thanks.

I have actually thought of something like this before but not with Rifleman, instead with smugglers when they are in cities. This would make very much sense for a sniper to have this ability. I like to go through every profession's boards every now and then to see whats going on but I don't know if this has been discussed here either. If not its a good idea...if it has then oh well...its still a good idea

I think transforming into an animal sounds more fit for a ranger, I like the idea of dissaperaing off radar while in cover better. Any other shot than Surprisehot or Concealshot would break it, and you would still be able to 'tab' to a person in cover.

Yeah, I don't know where this skill would best be fit. Maybe ranger, but it also feels scoutish. I guess I thought of rifleman, because it seems like the kind of thing a rifleman/sniper might do. The ability to "paint" a target in conjunction with the assist command might also be very helpful meaning it could a squad leader type ability. Oh well, we can only dream.
