It really seems a totally girly proffesion until you grab Conceal or Suprise shot. Then you manage to put out the damage over time required of a man holding in his hands what ammounts to a 2.5x melee damage taken modifer. So I guess I should break it down between non C/S, and C/S, both reffering to Conceal/Suprise.

If non, it's a tough road to Ho, and you could sure use friends. You WILL be jumped by things that get near you before you kill them, oh yes. Which requires armor. Which makes your specail attacks so painful it just makes one weep. WEll made, sliced armor helps this, but eventually you'll outgrow armor as a rifleman. With just conceal, I have. It's amazing fun to sit in a hunting group in my ranger camp, in my very nice I'm-a-scout-with-taste-clothes, and eventually go prone and drop -90 specails that rock Fambaas when with just a helmet that was a -150 special, never mind the rest of the suit.

WITH Conceal and Suprise, well, it's fairly simple. Get clothes with mods for you, sit down, rock npcs world until you have enough money for more clothing mods, repeat.

thats teh ranger equivalent of /maskscent... but he means /concealshot

which i personally dont like, because its very very slow, however, your target doesnt see you... but then again... get a good t21, prone at 40m+ and you will get 3 free shots... so headshot2 them down

I used to be a Rifleman closer to launch, before Radiant had T-21.

I'm master marksman and strongly considering rifle because its so much fun hunting.

But how is it pvp? I used to get owned but that was before buff/brandy/armor.

If some of you rifle experts could give a nice breakdown that would be great

Understand, I've only engaged in rifle PvP once, and that was a total debacle of me vs a TKA at 64 meters with a looted T21 and an 11 second refire rate.

However, in forum experince, we are apperntly 3 times as useful in PvP as we are in PvE, which is to bad, becuase I'm a Ranger. Our ability to tag the mind pool, the only pool that can only be healed with food and drink, and not constantly like the others, apperntly really gives people hives at the idea of facing rifleman in the GCW. I'm unclear still on whether conceal actuelly works in any shape form or fashion, but if it DID you'd have a major advantage no one else can match special wise aginst ranged opponents. (Shouldn't it like give you a massive -30 to hit or something and cut damage in half if your under cover? does it do ANYTHING?)

Also, we have the only AR3 weapon outside of the Commando line in our T21's, which, and I stress this, MUST be well made to really be nice, but if they are, you're the anti-personal-in-armor support.

We have our bugs, quirks, wishes wants and needs, but from what I understand, we're currently the best in PvP, at least when teamed with other classes to go up front and hold'em off while we plink.

Hope that helped.

Don't think about it .........just do it.

And I'm not trying to be mean. It's a great profession.... I love it and will never get rid of it. Only problem u might have is u need something to complement it. And being Master Marskman im not so sure ull have enough skill points to get something like fencer/tka/Doctor....... That is needed to complement Rifleman incase someone gets within close range of you.

Lets put it this way....... I can take out 3-4 TKA's easy as long as i can keep my distance in an open field...... within a quick amount of time. But in a city....... if i was not a TKA as well..... i die just and maybe only take out one....

It's a long range profession.... it's as simple as that. and One on ONe i dont care who your are (minus another master rifle) You are dead before u can get within 30 meters of me.

There is the info you need really....... Make your choice according to your playing style.
