we guild-hunt them, using TKM's (1 at a time) in high resist ubese armor for tanks, 1 CM for ranged heals, and a bunch (3-6 usually) of master riflemen to kill.

Any MOB in the game will have variable attack/follow speeds. Ex.(fastMOB speed):You are concealing a krayt andget a bleed. So you peace, stand up, and back up to 80m waiting for it to tick. When it ticks you start running away but the krayt is upon you within5 seconds - about the rate of a burst run and you're dead. Ex. (slow MOB speed):You are working a krayt with a TKA tanking and it's 1/2 way down. It decides to leave the TKA and follow you. You are at 50m and assume you are dead. You start running away and realize that the krayt is moving slower than you are. You run circles around the thing till the TKA can draw its aggro again.
You cannot outrun a krayt if it's running at full speed. If you've already used your burst run and it's in 'fast-mode', you're dead.
I honestly think the most effective method for killing a krayt is to have a master melee prof combined with combat medic. Apply poison and tank/rinse/repeat. Riflemen can do more damage, but not solo. We have to conceal which takes a long time and is not fool-proof due to bleeds, missing, and random roaming of krayts or have a good tank keeping the aggro off us.
