Pardon me if this is a FAQ...I looked and couldn't find a clear answer.

I'm considering dropping Ranger and going for Master Rifleman instead. I've started looking around at DXR-6b's but haven't seen enough of them on vendors to get a feel for the stats. They're going for 750K on Corbantis, it seems, and I don't want to spend that kind of cash on one with bad stats.

So, what's a good normal (i.e. non-Krayt) one look like? How about a Krayt one? I do PvE hunting almost exclusively (in fact, no PvP to date), if that matters in your estimation.

A good one depends on what you're looking for in it. Speed? Damage? HAM costs?

Myself, I prefer basic with green cubes. Increased condition, speed's not a problem, and damage tops out at around 450 with a decent slice. HAM's not a problem, unless I spam high-end shots as fast as possible. I've got brandy, muon, and pixie for surprises, and I'm buffed if I'm expecting trouble.

Nice thing about the DXR-6b is the accuracy. Mine are all around +114 at 60m. I can dance, sing, and close my eyes and still hit the target.

Remember, you have to have CS-2 to use one.

remember every server has different resources guys, you are gonna have this player, if not on you guys server, askin for a gun thats impossible to make. Just thought i would bring that up.

Don't know what the market is like on Corbantis. On Intrepid, a basic DXR-6b (white cubes, average, no special components) goes for 300-500k.

I'm less interested in the price than I am in the actual stats.

A good one depends on what you're looking for in it. Speed? Damage? HAM costs?

What would be a good speed? What would be a good damage? What are good HAM costs? People have mentioned the rifles have low durability and suggest getting ones made with the green cubes -- what's a good durability?

Obviously you're not going to find maximum values for all of the above in one weapon, but I can't evaluate tradeoffs without knowing what the possible range of values is. With other weapons I was able to drive around to multiple vendors and take notes, but I've only seen two of these guns, hardly a representative sample.

and i thought ahazi was expensive.

I've seen some rather decent ones on bloodfin for as much as 850000, or even over a million.


Now they were on a vendor marked "special weapons". So I suspect they were Krayt enhanced. However, my dxr-6 was pretty much the same stats as the "special" one and I paid 250k for it. I'm including HAM costs, damage, condition...all stats basically.

So that brings me to my next question...what is so special about the krayt enhanced ones? I've not seen one yet that is much better, if better at all, then the one I have that is non-krayt.
