Personally I would take HS3 for the stats, and then do up to CS3

Definatly HS3. Counter-Sniping isn't really usefull until you get to CS3.

I went STRAIGHT for 0-0-3-x once I made it. getting flushing2 makes the grind 100 times easier. get it.

I was wondering if I should go Head Shot 3, but I need 100k more rifle XP, or counter Sniping 1 right now. I was leaning towards Head Shot 3, becasue it does alot more damage and is cool. Counter Sniping isn't that good but I will eventually need to go up it. Should I go stright up sniping? I was thinking of that. Whats your thoughts.

I personally favir HS3 because it will take down a Savage Quenker in 3 shots. Hiw di you effectively use Flushing 2?

if you have regular access to tanks (which isn't hard.. go to dantooine mining outpost and join one of the constant "looking to form a hunting group" sets), countersniping 3 as soon as possible. AOE's are the fastest way to grind. If you have banked combat xp for Flurry2 (rifle special abilities 3), then you can skip CS until the end and go up sniping first for the accuracy.

if you want to solo without tanks, i'd go concealment 1 for conceal shot, then sniping for accuracy.

Definately go to Counter-Sniping III to get flushingshot2. I agree that headshot3 is a great special, but for grinding rifle XP it does not compare to flushingshot2. The best way to use flushingshot2 is to get a pet or a droid (anything that can tank for you) get them to attack the lair (savage quenkers is all I do for grinding)until all four are out. Now target one of the quenkers and spam flushingshot2. All four will be dead in about 2 minutes and you have raked in about 3-4K XP for each one (not including those darn babies).

I've done the rifle grind twice now and this has to be the quickest way togain XP.In my experience even groupfighting doesn't give you as much XP/hour that this method does.

/agree

This is definately the way to go. I did the snipeing first but now that I have the specials from cs3...my tk novice buddy and I took a rancor lair. I just used startle shot 2 interchanged with flurry shot 2 and by the time my target fell over, there was only one left out of the three and he had a sliver of health. That was basically 14k for about 1 minute of combat!

HS3 is a good skill but the delay on the shot is horrible making it next to useless unless you have abilities 4 and a damn fast rifle or are a master. for leveling go right to CS3

if you are after quick xp, the folks here are correct in saying CS. Otherwise, take HS3, the high damage output is very useful.

"In a certain town there is a male barber who shaves all those men who do not shave themselves. Does the barber shave himself?"

Only once, the first time.

oh wait... this was a serious post . Ya, if you are gonna have to live with being solo a lot (like I am on test) then go for HS3 and the accuracy (after you got /concealshot, that is). You will eventually get Flurry2 from the Abilities tree anyway (and you want that badly: the speed is there). If you know you can scare up a group at will go straight to countersniping and get that Flushing2 YESTERDAY. That is the best way, imho, to level; get in a group on Dathomirand AoE your brains out... well, then again, bring some food to keep some of those brains

CS3 every time!! FS2 is the best xp gathering shot you'll get before SS2 at master. Make sure you group hunt or have pets though. The AE effect will aggro everything in your range of attack (including the lair)
