Ok, ive have been getting mixed answers about AP, and i just want to know how it works. In theory a HEAVY armor piercing gun should Pierce through Heavy armor, But doesnt. Doesnt even Pierce through medium, Can someone explain this concept to me and how The Armor type and AP affects your attacks (I.E. A Force Crystal Hunter. Heavy Armor and 80% resistant to energy.)

I'll give it a shot, and I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. The damage equation goes something like this:
damage * 1.25 ^ (AP - AR) * (1 - resist)
So, for the case of the Force Crystal Hunter, lets say you hit her with a shot that did 1000 damage in the combat spam. The actual damage, or the damage that floats above the Hunter's head would be:
1000 * 1.25 ^ (3-2) * (1 - .8) = 250
Hope this helps. Basically you get a 25% bonus for every level of AP you have above AR (except in the case of vulnerabilities, which always acts at AP0 vs AR0). And for every level of AR that is above your AP you lose 50%(same thing about vulnerabilities as above). Then the resists are always taken out after the AP bonus.
