thx
Since the bleed nerf, as has been stated, bleeds no longer stack. Also as Wayne mentioned, bleeds no longer ignore armor and resists, and, on top of that, the bleed tick is not even the full damage of the initial hit. It used to be that the damage done by the bleed was the combat window damage. But while the initial hit would cause no damage each tick of the bleed (6 ticks for MS1 and 9 ticks for MS2) would tick of the amount of damage recorded by the initial hit. Also, since bleeds would bypass armor and resistances checks, you would get the full damage of the bleed even on a target that was 100% resistant to your damage type. Now, the bleed itself is greatly reduced, ticking off in the vicinity of 200 per tick rather than over 1000 as you could get before.
Likewise, you get only one bleed per pool, so that means that not only Mindshot1 and Mindshot2 do not stack but alsoyou cannot stack bleeds from different professions if they are on the same pool. So, for instance, I have 4 bleeds as a Rifleman/Swordsman, but since they all hit the mind pool, I can get a total of 1 bleed from those 4 specials.
That is the bad news. But it is not all bad news. First, the initial hit now actually does damage, and it does it to the targeted pool. Because of this, if the bleed runs its full course, one Mindshot2 will actually outperform a single Headshot3, it just takes longer for you to see the full benefit. For fights lasting less than 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, you are probably better off just going for straight damage, but if you hit with a Mindshot2 as one of your iniital shots in a fight lasting longer than that, you will actually do more damage than a single Headshot3, and at less HAM costs, by the way.
Also, it used to be that bleed damage did not count towards XP gained. Thus, on group hunts, it did not actually payoff to use bleeds because you could end up doing the most damage because of you bleed and still get the smallest portion of the XP in the group. Now, if nothing else, because of the real damage caused by the initial hit, bleeds will actually help you towards XP gained.
So while bleeds have been nerfed, I cannot agree that they are totally useless. They are just not as important or useful as they used to be.
Whoever says MS1 and MS2 don't stack are wrong. They do. I've tested it personally and saw them both tick countless times. Very easy to see in fact. Just spam MS1 and MS2 at any midlevel creature, then peace out. Scroll out into 3rd person view and watch the bleeds happen independly.

Actually i have found that certain DoT's have been stacking, although i'm not sure if it applies with MS1&2, i know for a fact that flamesingle2 and flamecone2 stack for the commando, i think rifleman's bleeds might as well......maybe not.
