I was wondering whats up with this? Can you use smuggler specials like low blow with a rifle? Or is this mainly for the extra money and feign death?

Can't use smuggler specials with rifles, but you can switch to a pistol for a kd or delay, and back to a rifle (flurry maybe?)
I mainly use smuggler to make money (keep the best slices, sell the rest), and feign death is pretty sweet too.

Sorry to burst your bubble but smuggler specials can only be used with Pistols

One of my friend was a Master Smuggler and a Master Rifleman. Before the patch, which theydid not nerf the delay. Hedid low blow + panic shot + strafe 2 or master headsht.The combination was really good and power since you can knockdown people, delay yourenemyfor10 seconds, andblast your strafe2. But right nowthe DEV nerf thedelay, i guess its notworkingvery good anymore.

dirty fighting tree + bounty pistol 2 + novice commando + pistol stances 4 (for speed) + pistol tech 3 (forstate defenses)or pistol grips 3 (for dodge)is sweet. eyeshot with a launcher pistol will burn the video card up. that and you get a knockdown, the newly nerfed panic shot, last ditch (big dmg + stuns opponents), and feign death! how can you go wrong?!

Anyone try this? Are you any good in PVP and PVE? WHat are your strengths and weaknesses?

Ive heared from someone that its pretty good. Rifleman being a very powerful ranged profession, and the abillity to solo just about anything in the game (until they added the "random bleed"). Plus all the smuggler skills are pretty good (and hopefully better when we get our revamp).
I, for one, am stiking with MPistol/MSmugler for as long as I can and using the leftover points to do whatever strikes my fancy. Right now im using it to go for the Tripple Crown and get TKM, but I am realy looking forward to owning a ship in JTL.
Smuggler, on its own, is not a good profession unless you are a non-combat player. If you intend to PvE or PvP you practicly NEED a secondary combat skill to back it up. Just about anything will do, but I find that mastering either Pistoleer or TKA or both as well as Smuggler: your gonna be fine in most situations.
