Hola,

Well, my ALT is going Master Swordsman/Master Rifleman/Masterbrawler..

If been looking into what ranged combat profession to grab, and Rifleman was top pick by EVERY single guildmember/friend/ random person.

Now, when I master whats a MUST weapon for PvE/PvP...I got the "loot" to buy whatever weapon is out there...So hook me homie G's

PvE, The T-21. AP3, with heavy damage.

PvP, The Jawa Ion Rifle is the favorite from what I have heard(I don't PvP, myself). Stun Damage.

1st - I am no ones homie....

next rifleman is a great ranged profession - it is not the only good ranged profession though - so do not expect to win every pvp match as a rifleman - it is not an I win switch

but to answer your question and give some advice.

PvE:

(1) T-21 mainstay - heavy armorpiercing, consistent damage

(2) DXR6b secondary - useful vs many creatures and does nice damage

PvP:

(1) DXR6b - best pvp rifle - best accuracy so avoids defences, is not affected by shield gens and has a high min damage + medium armor piercing

(2) T-21 -high min damageand heavy armor piercing

(3) Jawa - against newb pvp'rs a good weapon (as they may not have stun armor and a stun psg yet)

Tis all changes for learning though. Your best learning rifles are things such as the e11, the laser rifle, and the spray stick.

please read the newb rifleman link in my signature.

You're also gonna wanna buy speed tapes. You'll want to cap both Rifle Speed and 2-Handed Speed (these will take some serious cash to get) and also might want to get some State defense tapes (def. vs. kd, dizzy, etc.) With these, good stun pvp armor, and a little experience, you'll be a force on the PvP battlefield

heyas umm lets see

[T-21] - a definite must in every riflemans inventory. The Armor Pierce works well in PvE but it seems to not always have the same effect in PvP mostly cause of ranged mitigation and defence. probibally the best gun for PvE that a rifleman has. Conceal shot combined wth cover at the ranges that make this gun awsome are amazing.

[Jawa Ion] - my personal suggestion for a PvP gun. On kauri (my home server) you can get jawas pretty strong. Since max is 40% stun here you do the normal minuses. my gun is 167 - 303 w/o a power up so i get a nice hit and add to the fact that it has ok ranged mods to it so you can kite.

[DXR-6b distributer] - The great thing about these guns are the ranged mods. you can hit almost anything with it. running, standing still, everything comes as an easy hit. Me Personally i rarely use these in PvP but PvE they make awsome guns. The AP2 cuts through most things and you get acid dmg, which trust me, helps a lot in a lot of PvE monsters.

^^^^^Those are the main three but their are a few more to talk about^^^^^

[berzerker] - overall kinda pointless sept for the look and such, but i find times when their is a point to using it. just keep and eye out for the defences of the monsters, etc.

[tuskan] - if you can find one with a DOT (which their are a couple) make sure you use this. With some of the dots they come in handy fast

[SG82] - Sort of pointless at times besides the fact that its cold dmg, But i have found times useful to pull out the old SG82

[Laser] - Great for PvE. These guns downfal though is that you have a huge gap between min/max dmg.

[Spraystick] - an awsome gun concept. a close ranged rifle. if you are grinding this will be the gun to use and in PvE these do come in handy! hold on to a couple

[E11] - i would say i use these the least. havent really found use for it in PvE or PvP but who knows i might be wrong

[Dlt20a] - hahahah i dont know why i even put this up here but ahem. an awsome grinding gun for the beginner skills as well as the Dlt20.

So to sum it all up...

[PvP] - have a T21, Jawa, and DXR-6b ready for any event that may happen. T21's do good if you can get a person on the ground (hence why TK/rifleman is such a good combo) and stationary, but if you start to move your gonna want a DXR-6b to fight with with the accuracy mods and if your hits dont do much (calculating 90% base armor, ranged mitigation, and cap ranged defence) use your good 'ole jawa, Lets see them 90% resist stun

[PvE] - many good guns can be used for this. mostly i use a T21 cause of AP3, but at times a DXR-6b can be just as useful if their defences against acid suck. Make sure you also keep an eye out for their weaknesses (ie. stun, acid, cold, heat, etc) they can also help

pve-the t21 and dxr6

pvp-what that other dude up there said. the jawa is pointless against most experienced pvp'ers. I always personaly went with the dxr-6 becuase of the high accuracy and high min/max damage and it bypases psg's.

I've had Riflemen wailing on me all day with a Jawa...and they didn't land a dropof damage. If you know what you're doing in PvP, only the most uber of Jawas and Stun Batons will be a threat to you. Do NOT place your faith in this weapon in PvP unless you KNOW your opponent to be weak against Stun. IMO, the Disruptor is far superior in every respect, because so long as you have a good one, you will actually be doing damage to some degree. Plus, the accuracy mods on the Disruptor make all the difference.

In general, a Rifleman really only needs three rifles for PvP and PvE, and those would be the T-21, DXR-6b, and the Jawa. All three have applications; it's merely about knowing when to use them. Laser Rifles can come in handy if you get a really high-powered one, but in general I shy away from them. I don't like the gap between min/max damage. For grinding, however, the Laser Rifle and Spraystick will be your best friends. The T21 is too slow and unwieldy to make foran efficient grinding gun...at least until you get some better speed and accuracy that is. But yeah, other than my tirade about the Jawa...good adivce from the poster above

well, in terms of rifles:

the grind:
e11: decent damage, decent speed, incredible accuracy (especially if stocked and scoped)

t21(speed sliced): not as powerful as a damage sliced, however, your rifle speed will be low enough to make it worth it, once again ap3 is very nice

laser rifle: some will argue that it is an excellent rifle for the grind, however, i have had very bad luck with laser rifles in my carrer as a rifleman, do not let the high max damage fool you, for every high hit, you will have a low hit... and that low hit is incredibly annoying.

at master (assume damage slices):

PvE:

t21: high damage, ap3. pwnage. Energy

drx6b: similar damage as a t21, ap2, accurate. acid

SG-82: decent damage, ap0 (ick), Cold damage (very useful in certian situations, looks cool too)

PvP:

drx6b: all around best PvP rifle: accurate, good damage, ap2, acid(psgs are vuln to acid)

t21: high damage, ap3. but: its energy, expect 80%+ resits on composite and 20-40 on psgs, so its well resisted, the ap3 offsets this a bit, but not enough.

jawa ion rifle: stun damage, ap1, lower damage than t21/drx6b not quite holding the glory it used to, now days, any decent PvPer has stun composite with resists ranging from 20-40ish, and psgs with 20-40ish stun protection, in the rare occasion that you find someone without stun protection... most defintily worth it, otherwise. its right out.
