Well to get to the bottom of it.....
Dont do it. The pvp system is a broken out of balance joke. The above posts were good advice if you want to get into it though, but there's really no point until they change things.

I am an MRM/MCM - here are my tips. - I havent been PvP for very long but my advice may help you a liitle.
1) Be prepared to die alot - CMs are a main target in PvP - suggest u do not wear a CM tag - make sure your clone data is local.
2) Get some good PvP armour - stun armour that is. Most new PvP players will have next to no defence against stun. So hit em with jawa but if your damage doesnt happen the switch weapons.
3) Get into a group ASAP. Most good PvP battles are MOB affairs.
4) Dont go overt - let a more experienced player do that and help him when there is trouble.
5) Hang back and think. If you rush into getting a TEF you will quickly have many things to think about. One on One PvP is rare without agreement so there are likely to be many targets all highly mobile. You need to select one for maximum benefit.
6) Keep a good eye on your stats - u wanna be buffed all of the time with an empty belly before u fight. Mind foodand rink is the key to staying on your feet.
7) When things look bad then run away and dont look back. Hit and run is prooving to be the most effective way for RM/CM to work.
8) Watch and learn. PvP is many hours waiting for a few mins fighting but the human opponent beats any of the AIs hands down.

All good advice so far. I'm Rifleman/TKM so I can do a bit more "tanking" in PvP than a MR/CM could. I still try to hang back and pull head shots though; keeps me away from the Jedi and Melee' stackers. Depending upon how I read an opponent, I may switch to TK to mess with them by way of states and knockdowns..every situation is different though, so you have to adapt. As for weapon selection, that too is situational. "New" players will generally not have stun defenses, but there is no way you can know that. I keep a Disruptor, a T21, and a Jawa on me at all times. The problem with the Jawa is that there is armor out there that can virtually negate any damage a Jawa does (unless it's an uber Jawa). The Jawa only has AP1, where as the Disruptor has AP2 and Acid damage. Disruptors are far more accurate, which means they will have a better chance of overcoming someone's defenses. IMO, there's almost no contest...the Disruptor wins out hands down...unless you KNOW someone is vulnerable to stun. Now, if someone is unarmored and/or unbuffed, the T21 is probably the bestchoice. The T21, withAP3will outdamage the other rifles by a substantial amount, so it will definitely kill the fastest against an unarmored or unbuffed opponent. Hotkey all three rifles so that you can pull out the one you need when you need it. Good luck..PvP isvery broken, but it can be enjoyable, if onlyas a changefrom mobs.

Ok, man- here goes.
1. Before attempting that template - get the best poisons you can get a hold of. If at all possible - get 2 of the b and c variety area mind poisons and diseases - they will stack if they have different serial/potencies.
2. Invest in Ahrisa, Brandy, Synthesteak (a must), Canape, Citros, and Muon - lots of muon.
3. Also invest in the 3 top choices of rifles - Dxr6B - T 21 - and the Jawa. Make sure all are high damage.
4. Get some stun armor that has been encumberance sliced. This may sound akward - but trust me - your gonna want all the regen possible as a rifleman / anything - and with the healing power you have at your fingertips - health and action damage shouldnt be a problem to deal with.
5. Some time before the action starts - pop your synthesteak. It lasts about an 45 min after your stomach empties.
6. Right before the action starts - take your 2 brandies - a citros - and 1 ahrisa. Keep your moun toolbared for that last ditch effort of staying alive. It also help when you switch to zerg mode.
7. Choice of weapon is determined by a bunch of factors. If you are fighting someone that is melee - use the high damage T 21 - take advantage of 0 ranged mitigation. Spam flushing shot 2 till the stun sticks - then swithch to headshot (assuming you have already stuck a couple poisons and diseases - if not - spam Strafe shot 2)
Other ranged guys- you will want to use a disruptor rifle - to get past their ranged mitigation and ranged defense. Same shot pattern as above.
The jawa you only use if in either of these situations - you know for a fact - that they dont have stun resistance.
8. Last but not least - learn how to kite like there is no tomorrow. A melee will eat you alive - learning how to deal with the "toss stick" animation will help you out tremendously.

well i was the same template for a while and loved it.but a disadvantage of it is u dont have intimate but its all good. Ummm get some stuna rmro 40% stun 67% base by like 3 helmets and chest plates(get them all sliced and use the effectivness sliced pieces) takes brady, muon for emergineces, sythe steak, ahrisa(if u use a dxr6),and thatkillo for kd. Always have a sliced psg equipped.Use a nice dxr-6 rifle over a jawa. get one wit over 450 max damage sliced and always have it puped. When you pvp since ura cm throw aC poison then a B poison then last a A poison to have them all stacked. Then use flushing shot 2 untill u have stunned then target, then throw in a flurry shot 2 to apply a dizzy and a supression fire about 5 times(after 5 time and they havent fell forget it) then some headshot 3's.a similar template i went with later i liked better is master rifleman 4/0/4/0 doc and 3/0/0/4 cm which i could poisona and disease and heal poison, disease, and flames and could heal states. But it is all up to you bro

All great points here. Heres some other small things.
1. When in town or highly visable to other players equip a weapon you have no intention of using. Even If you have no commando skills equip a flamethrower as an example. Don't do this in closed spaced or in starports where people will become overt quickly at close range. If you can trick someone into eating flame resistant food thats stomach space they will not have for accuracy dodge or other foods that might help them. When sperated by buildings on walls most people will give you a quick examine (if theres time) before they close with you. They are looking mainly at if you are armored and most importantly what weapon you have equiped. If they have a choice of foods. This is the weapon they willexpect you to fight with. If you have a set of knucklers and can comvince someone into eating Anti KD food because they think your TKM you've just taken 40-50% of thierfood space.
2. Put anything that might cause you to take your eyes off the radar on your toolbar. Opening windows to get a power up or a food item can be all it takes for someone to sneek up on you. I put my food up there also some people say this is a waste but it works good for me and keeps me out of my inventory window. A player can close from 128 meters to 65 in the time it takes you to open your inventory get what you need and close it again.
3. You should be checking your radar with range set to minimum128 meters every 1-2 seconds. And tabing large groups of people to see if any reddots are hidden in the mass of other ones.
4. Like someone said earlier knowing when to leave and staying somewhere to long will get you killed more than anything. After a while you get this little voice that tells you when its time to leave. Its tough to leave an area you just killed a few overts in. This is probably the toughest thing to learn. But its always better then staying in one place to long. I always looked at it like this. I consider myself to be average. So its only a matter of time before I encounter someone better then me or with better weapons/armor. If you kill one or two count yourself as lucky and go somewhere else. Eventaully you'll meet someone who can beat you staying stationary. In fact its likely after you beat a few that they will send tells to guild members or friendsand you'll probably be ganged up on.
5. No brainer- but sometimes people dont' do this. When raiding a player city solo always try to draw out the defenders outside the city limits. Mosts likey any overts there will also be milita members and they get defence bonuses as well as others when inside the city limits. If your alone and theres 3-4 overts in their town, making a few passes on your biketo letting yourself be seen will cause them to chase you 90% of the time. You can lead them out they will probably be scattered by the time you find the spot you want to stop and fight them. They will trickel in one at a time because of differances in terraine negotiationand how long it took them to call the bikes. The farther you go the more they will be spread out. Find a spot that favors you some place high with water near by is perfect. Better if you know it in advance, they will have to run uphill stop and fight. Also they will think you are flat out running and will probably be suprised when ya stop and start firing.
6. I don't know why its this way but most times the person attacking that has themost inertia wins. Theres no game mechanic i know of that makes it this way but its just an observation. Not always but if you are the one pressing things you have a slight atvantage. If you can make them react to you that first shot as opposed to vice versa your way ahead of the game in my opinion. Be the guy chasing not the guy running. Figuritivly speaking! If its amelee run your butt off. lol
Sorry for the long post I know alot you probably knew already these are jsut the non obvious things I could think of I'm sure others have more.
Good luck to you.
