Rifleman Archive

Currently im master doc, master pistoleer. I can only have one other non hybrid weapons prof. I was wondering if a master doc/rifleman would be good in both PvE and PvP or should i just stick with pistoleer? Any advice would be appreciated. thanks

Master Doc / Master Rifleman carries one huge benifit that may not be apparent on the surface.

You can migrate all of your stats to mind, then use your doctor buffs to boost your HA.

You may have a little trouble attempting to ballance yourself if you want to run around and stim people, but if you limit your doctor half to buffs and rezzes in a battle, you should do great.

It also carries one huge drawback - your specials use up the mind you normally would use for healing yourself and at least on your way to master, rifleman is a lot worse due to speed (at least if you try to heal others). Pistoleer is the best profession if you, as a doctor, want to be able to heal others during battle. Again, this does NOT assume master level skills. At master, speed shouldn't be a huge issue unless you spam strafe 2 with a non-speed powered up T21 or something.

However, by having your stats maxed in Mind, Focus, and willpower, plus a little food you can probably get to the point that specials use almost no mind.

I have 1003 Rifleman, and 0030 Medic. I feel this is a very strong combo, although I don't PVP. Imagine what you can do with Full Rifle and Doctor?

Go for it, and ditch them silly pistols.... well, keep one for getting things off of ya when in melee.

Actually, I have a second character that is going rifleman. Mejowepra is going.. uhm. Musician! :-) Gotta love those holocrons... The good thing is that she'll be able to musician buff my second char so he can actually wear his armor AND heal AND, wooo, fire weapons!

While wearing composite, it's very rough even with food and spice buffs, I can tell you that much.
