The question is entirely dependent on what targets you are using to grind XP. Laser, Spray, and T21 are all energy based weapons.Energydamage is not always the best choice depending on the resists of the target. You should also have a good Jawa for stun damage, and, though it is rarely useful, you should probably get an SG82 for the cold damage. We can now get a DXR6B Disrupter which has good minimum damage and is Acid damage as well.
I personally used my T21, my E11 (lower max than a Laser, but higher minimum, faster, and lower HAM), and Jawa more than any other weapons. But I carry them all. Since I made Master, I almost exclusively use my T21 and Jawa, though I have recently replaced my Laser with a DXR6B, and will usually run around with myE11equipped to dispatch annoyances like thugs that aggro on me for no reason. It's short size also makes it look like a Carbine, so it can sometimes give you an edge against players who do not know the weapons and think they are facing a Carbineer. That is not to belittle Carbineers. It is just advantageous to misdirect people. By the time they realize they are using the wrong strategy, it is often too late.

I am new to rifleman as well and what I have been doing is hutning in the krayt graveyard, mostly banthas, i make a few shots witha T21 and iof any get to me I use a spraystick with a max damage/pt blank bonus. I use vasarian and ryschate for food buffs and have a muon on standy
