I've been a Rifleman for quite a while now. I pvp alot and i use headshot alot. But the fact is there is no other tactic given to Rifleman to use. Strafe2 is good sometimes but its effectiveness is shown when you use it 5-6 times and they just heal themselves back to max health, realising u just waisted ur time and mind cost. If they want to make a Rifleman weaker at pointblank, thats fine. Just give us something that works in stoping a rushing tka at some degree. We are suppose to be a support profession... maybe a area suppression or something equivalent to stoping shot. Suppression 1 in marksman has zero effectiveness. Dizzy is then made useless. So i ask u what else do u expect us to use.A true change for me would be to implement a pvp version of coverfire (prone). What do u think?

Well, honestly I use more than just headshot or strafe 2 in pvp. Flushing 2 is great to add stun which lowers defense of the person, and Dizzy does have a purpose besides the psuedo KD. A Dizzied person cannot burst run, so you can get range on them with burst run and dizzy. So there are other tactics open, yes not much but we are not a Status attack class, that role seems to be given to Carbines. We are the Direct Damage blow em to hell and back again class.

Nice never knew about the dizzy/burstrun combo... Though most of my fights were at defending bases. I tried Stun, but found that i needed 3-4 shots to make it stick. Too longfor a pvp fight. In a group fight yes, but if another player singles you out, ur choices are dim. Any other tactics out there... i do appreciate the info.

Strafe2 still has it's uses, it's AoE so you can hit multiple enemies at one time, and does whole lotta damage. I was in a battle in Theed yesterday, there was an Imperial CM there with 400/400/2000HAM or so,poor chap died in a single shot

i can't believe im reading this.....???

We have nothing other than headshot?? WOW........

I dont know what kinda PvP you do....... but we have a fairly nice arsenal of choices that i like using..... and work well.

1st: Nothing will work all the time.... U don't know what armor, skill tapes, mods, armor attachments, and so on the other person has on their slots..

2nd: I use Dizzy/supression combo quite frequently.... and it works great. I don't know what you have been doing.... sometime it sticks on the first shot....... sometimes it takes three shots.. But by with the speed in rifle... i can usually Kite while firing the shots untill it sticks....

3rd: as someone said above... Flushing is great to get these things to stick.... If i know i have the time to do it.... i will use Flushing2 as my premptive strike to get the STUN status, so my dizzy and posture down attack sticks faster......

Then strafe shot 2: One of the best attacks in this game. Granted with all the buffs that people can get right now... it takes a bit longer than some would like... But if combo'd with the dizzy/supression.... u can really hurt someone with this. (but i'dchoose headshot instead cuz of healing ability and its our other best shot....if soloing an oponent) strafe is a support fire attack... U shoot it if you are helping other teamates attacking the same target.

Riflemen have plenty to be happy about...... we dont need anything else. (maybe except something that blinds, but i can live without it)....

As someone said above... Its using your HEAD not headshot that makes us a great professoin!!
