What are these? And i don't mean the powerups. I keep hearing about things you can permentally attach to your weapons (no powerup uses left) and it even changes the looks of the weapons.
ONE: What are they?
TWO: What do they do?
THREE: How can I put them on my guns?
Four: How much do they normally cost?
Thanks for any and all replies.

I'm not a weaponsmith.. one should answer you soon I would hope.. but I believe
that these items have to be attached to the weapon WHEN IT IS MADE. It is not
something that you as a player can put on or take off when you want. The power-ups
are the only thing that you yourself can add.

Oh, and as far as what they do, they enhance some of the weapon stats by certain amounts.
A scope may improve the accuracy or the damage, etc....
For example... a standard Laser rifle made with decent components on Eclipse server
usually comes out around 400-409 max damage. I had a weaponsmith make me a crate of
lasers and he added scopes to them (I think it was scopes) and they came out with
max damage 426.

heres a thought for the combat revamp (kinda related to the thread):
give the T21 a stock... we look rediculously overbalanced holding that drainpipe out with one hand... all the latest rifles have stocks attached
this has been mentioned many many times.. just not seen it recently so thought id mention it. again. so the devs will ignore it. again.

That sounds like a half-assed stock. Scopes have the "damage" line of experimentation, but all it does is increase wound chance (useless). Only way to increase damage is with stocks or loot components like krayt tissue/gorax bone and the themepark or exceptional/legendary barrels.

Barrels...virtually every gun in SWG is made with a barrel, I can only think of the spraystick and tangle pistol offhand as guns that don't have barrels.
Scopes...most guns in SWG can be crafted with an additional scope. Scopes simply improve the range mods on your gun. There's often a trade off whereby the HAM costs on your gun will be increased as you get better range.
Stocks...Can be added to most rifles and carbines in SWG. They increase damage and wound chance but lower the speed and increase the HAM costs (form-fitted weapon stocks, a reward from the Imperial Themepark reduce the speed, raise the damage for 0 extra HAM costs)
Due to a graphical bug scopes and stocks are not always visible on weapons made using them. If the stock/scope is hand crafted by a weaponsmith and then added to a weapon they will appear on the finished weapon, if the stock/scope comes from a factory crate they will not be visible although the effects you get from having them will be (extra HAM, etc.)
If you can't see a stock on a rifle (especially a T21) you can tell if its there from the HAM costs, a stocked T21 will have around 70/70/100 HAM.
These can only be added during the creation of the weapon.
