Who ever says riflemen weren't in the movies needs to go watch them again.

I seen a lot of people saying "Make the game more realistic. Take TKA/CM/Riflemen out, they weren't in the movies."

If you watch ANH, you can clearly see stormtroopers carrying T21 rifles.

The troops that operate the E-Webb cannons could be considered rifleman too, because it has a longer range than most guns.

The E-Web is a heavy weapon. So it would be a Commando weapon. However in ESB in the Hoth battle scene you have lots of soldiers ( Riflemen). Most of the Alliance memebers were carrying rifles. Though they did little good against AT-AT's.

Not just the movies either. The X-Wing series of the expanded universe talks of the formation of Wraith Squadron. In at least one of those stories, they speak of a raid on an Imperial facility where a Wraith Squadron member is a sniper.

T-21 has a big Role in the New Jedi Order Book "Star by Star" also.

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

Yeah, the Stormies arent Snipers

Storm= Troopers who storm with speed guns, well like E11

I think the Riflemen in SW play a great role, by the Rebels for example (to shoot Imperial Generals from large distance )

Bah.. you'd first not have to get picked off by the Imperial counter-snipers first.

Actually wouldn't the E-11 carbine be the standard load out for many troops with rifleman being support elements in the squads. Carbines are far more vestal than rifles as they offer a wider range of use but are limited at the same time. One of the better examples would come from ANH where the heroes were on the Death Star going to free Leia. During the scene where Obi is sneaking around you see a squad walking down a corridor in formation with the vast majority carrying E-11s with only 2 walking with the DLT-19 (DLT20a variant).

Carbines are generally issued to special forces troops. Which is why StormTroopers carry them. They are shock/assault troops. Since most of the bad guys in the movies were ST's, you see a large number of carbines.

E-11 yeah too bad the E-11 is only good for stormtrooper armor photoshoots. They need to switch the E-11 with the laser rifle..yeesh.

And don't bring up the "Wraith" or some of the "Rogue" squadron books. Those thing pushed the luckiest far fetched people in the world limit. That that idiot of an author still cant figure out that the weapons were "blasters" not "lasers" like he see's at his favorite Pink Floyd laser light show
