Quick question for the veteran riflemen out there: What are the average stats on T21s these days, and what are the best that can be currently made? Please include exact unsliced stats if you have them

Well yes but you can't place a scope on the T21 but the stock can give accuracy, damage, speed or a combination of bonuses to the rifle. Really depending on how it's done you have 4components that can be experimented upon in additionto theweapon itself:

  • Barrel

  • Feed Mechanism *

  • Power Handler *

  • Scope

  • Stock

If the ranged weapon doesn't take a power handler then it will take the feed mechanism so this is why there's a (*) by the names. All parts listed above can be experimented for Accuracy, Damage, Durability, and Speed. Once placed together in the final product, the WS is able to experiment on the weapon forAccuracy, Damage, Durability, and Speed to help bump the numbers even higher.

Not asking for much are you?

Really this all depends upon 4 main things:

  • Your weaponsmith

  • Resources

  • Experimentation

  • Slicing

First and foremost finding a quality and reliable WS is everything. Look for MWS who have been masters for several months and take pride in their work. Many times these guys will advertise that they are a +11 or +12 WS which means they have tape enhancements which means one extra experimentation point for their creations. Also, WS's located in Research Facilities running food buffs for experimentation can also play into how well your weapon(s) turn out.

Resources are everything when it comes to quality products and those who are adamant about their work will only collect and use the best availableresources on your server. Also expect to pay anextra price for these items as they will be top of the line but well worth the investment. One problem some servers have experienced is the lack of quality resources needed to make weapons and worse yet needing high numbers in resources that generally never break the marginal numbers for qualities.

Another consideration is how willing is the weaponsmith about doing custom jobs? There are so many different ways to build weapons yet many will run factory jobs to make a profit. If you're looking for the best you're wanting a hand made weapon using only advanced parts and the best of tissues. Once again a good WS who's a +11 or +12 will more than likely be willing to do custom work as most that I've run into usually specialize in custom jobs. Depending on what you're looking for (Accuracy, Speed, Durability, and Damage) WS's can custom build your weapon to suit your needs. Read up a bit on the WS forums or chat with local WS's. Those WS's who are willing to chat with you and give you advice as to what you're looking for are usually the ones you'll do repeat business with. These guys will also bemore than helpful and willing to met your requests.

Something else to keep in mind when looking for the best weapon to be had is the slice. Currently even master Smugglers have no control over what percentage or type of slice your weapon will get. I can say from my own experience that the quality of the weapon will almost always be related to the quality and sometimes type of slice. The lower the base speed of a weapon the better the chances are you'll get a decent damage slice. On the same note, the higher the base damage the more likely you'll be to receive a speed slice on the weapon. Usually, but not always, if a weapon has been made with high quality resources your chances of getting higher end slices increase. Once again keep in mind that there is currently no reliable way to guarantee the slice or the percentage.

With all of this in mind and depending on the spawns on your server the following is usually the average stats of post-nerf T21s:

  • Minimum damage: 167

  • Maximum damage: 375

  • Speed: 7.1

  • Point Blank: -80 @ 0

  • Idea Range:+10 @ 60

  • Max Range: -40 @ 64

  • Health cost: 41

  • Action cost: 52

  • Mind cost: 75

Once again these are average and can change depending up the listed conditions above. This isn't figuring in a slice either as these too can vary in range.

Not too shabby on the overall numbers though it took many WS's months of praying and resource dances to get all the required items in decent to high qualities to spawn. From what I was told it took something like 10 months to get a decent rotation of carbonate ore on our server so now that many old school WS's on my server have really good resources on hand we're able to see the numbers for the high quality weapons.

On a side note, stats of resources play a huge role in many crafting professions. Currently the only two that aren't heavily dependant upon qualites of resources are Tailors and Architects. If you really want to get down to it many crafting requirements for classes aren't dependant upon stats. Scout/Ranger, Smuggler, and Musician (instruments) don't really require that their crafted items met any quality standards to work to the best of their abilities. When some servers report that they get better numbers than others, keep in mind that not all servers have had great spawns of resources nor the opportunity to stockpile those resources.

Confusion. A stocked T21 made with 100% perfect resources wouldn't get 500. He's talking sliced, we're talking unsliced. Apples and oranges. You can get 500's and higher with looted stocks or krayt tissues, but not without. The 412 posted above is an exceptional weapon made from a weaponsmith that has been making T21's for a long time and has saved up the best spawns for a long time. 400 on any server is ok now days and anything above is a bonus.

we have a WS ( top guy) he makes them at 401 so 500 is really good if thats from just normal resources and no special loot.

Yeah, he means sliced. About the highest I've seen unsliced are 407 on Chilastra.
