Thread: What should I be wearing?

My friend quit the game, so I got his entire suit of composite armor (80% kinetic resist) but it destroys my HAM unless I'm buffed, then even still my mind is really wrecked.

I see a lot of master rifleman in regular clothing, not armor. Is there something specific I should be looking for?

lol nudnick

but seriously, for PVE all you need is a good suit of
76% kinetic Ubese armor. that will keep you safe against
the majority of critters out there. i have a suit of comp
too, but i rarely use it. if i ever started doing PVP then
maybe id start using comp

um...hotpants and a purple duster...

j/k I usually wear a set of efficency sliced composite (85% base+ with 80% electricity protection,) but I always go out buffed (I have a 2nd account with a doc.) I do not wear my helmet though most of the time to save on mind costs. I have it on my toolbar so I can quickly put it on if I get into a jam though.

My trick is 2 good brandies, and 2 good ahrisa's. I also haven't migrated my stats to heavy mind because I haven't found a master ID who will do it for a reasonable price. I'm sure that if I did that I could get away with 2 brandies and 1 ahrisa.

The reason I prefer ahrisa over canapes is that ahrisa lasts MUCH longer (45 mins,) and for PvE (PvP is dead since the jedi proliferation) the extra willpower just doesn't make that much of a difference.

I think i am a little old school but in pvp armor is not needed cause if ya facing a master in another profession its who lands first. Also since no one seems to put stun layers in composite armor, a rifle man and fencer can just hit ya like there nothing on you.

Composite Armour. Stun helmet, gloves, boots and chest if you want to pvp.

Stats mig'd to mind

H - 400/500/500

A - 400/500/500

M - 1080/500/500

Full buffs, mind if possible, brandy, canope, muon if needed.

Try to get enc sliced armour if u can and a skill taped undershirt.

Or alternativly you can run round in your underpants and slap people.

- TKM / Master Rifleman / Pistoleer 0040 / Pikeman 0030.

Actually, if the full suit of composite is heavy on the mind pool, then composite might not be ok. I sometimes have trouble shooting my DXR-6b rifle when I am fully equipped using jsut brandy. ButTtose times call for canape!

I have a mix of padded/ubese with a composite chest plate for really high end stuff.

It doesn't haveexceedingly high HAM costs - only like 500 for each pool.

I had an excellentsuit of composite which was 70% resists to all and only like 400 encumberance for each pool. But its broken now

I would suggest getting all Ubese, but if you go after lots of NPC missions(Like stormies/rebel commandos) then I would suggest getting a composite chest plate (because they rarely hti you in any other place except for your body (In my experiences) ) and then getting all the rest Ubese.

Just my suggestion though

don' wear armor; maybe a helm, but just get some good looking clothing with some good skill attachments. get a ubese shirt and drop in some good AA's. If you rely on armor to PvP or PvE then your screwed.

The only people who don't need armour for pvp, are sneaky combat medics and jedi's, us mere mortals don't last too long without it. pve is different, as its not hard to outwit animals or npc's.
