I've noticed sometimes when as a group we're fighting say...a SBD or Nightsister etc... that something may cause its resistances to slowly go down. I can't seem to pinpoint exactly what this is, so I'd like to tap the group knowledge here and ask, "What determines when resistances get lowered"?

Resists lower when the target suffers lots of damage or a certain pecent of its HAM is gone.

So if a target doesn't 'have' over a certain amount of hp its resists can't lower?

if at 90% ham = figure 100% of all resists
50% ham resists drop
25% ham resists drop even further
the more damage you do the less they resist it
think of it as armor being damaged and slowly being less and less effective

Here, that's what I don't get, I have killed nightsisters using only pistols, and their resists don't drop at all, then I've killed them with a T-21 and their resists DO drop...so is it a heavy ap correlation?

i think how much ham it has effects if its resist drop most high end mobs (nightsister elders, gorax, most krayts)

Yes I do think it may have something to do with armor piercing but i could be wrong. Someone referred me to an incident when they were fighting a nightsister with 100% resistance to their damage type but they continued beating on her and her resistances finally dropped.
I know this does apply to super battle droids and is very commonplace to see SBD resistances dropped, but in no way im I sure if the drop in resistances is based on a mob's remaining HAM. I think it has something to do with an "armor condition" of some sort.

IT doesn't invlove ap, i noticed that when we concentrated on health it's resists did not go down at all, but when we concentrated on mind it's resists went down as we slowly killed it. The entire time i was using a power hammer with medium ap.
