Thread: Master Rifleman/Master Weaponsmith, what's efficient?

Hi, i just finished my template last night of MWS/MRM, I'm wondering if there are any out there with this template that could give me advice as to what would be the most efficient targets for this template. Obviously Krayts may be at the top of the list for getting tissue, then NS for vibro stuff, and geo caves for disruptor and geo blaster schems,but after that i'm not too sure if there's much else. Could anyone fill me in? Do rancors drop anything worth my time? I've heard they are popular targets amogst rifleman.


Second question I have.. I can't believe the difference between a 90 rifle speed mod and 97 mod (i got my stats at http://killyourpc.org/swg/swg_dps.php?weapon_min=275&weapon_max=500&weapon_speed=7.2&pc_speed=98&class=Rifle.. is this accurate? Can you really go from a max of 1500 damage per second to about 3000 damage per second with a +7 mod?


Third: what are optimalrifles (this is a stat question mostly..) I currently don't have the money to buy a T21 Exceptional, I'm wondering what are good stats on T21s and Disruptors that make my prime targets go down fairly easily (please specify which guns take which targets down.. I'm guessing disruptors would be better for geo caves and rancors, but what's good against a krayt? ones i've seen only have a slight weakness to cold.. would a "big" SG-82 work or should I just stick with a T21?)

I believe that Rancor's can drop some loot items. Can't remember off the top of my head what it is. One of the Psyco's on the board has the same template as you I believe.


Yes the speed difference is accurate. The speed mod is a percent drop in the listed speed. So at +90 you are doing 10% of the listed speed times the delay mod. Once you are at +97 you are only doing 3% of the listed speed times the delay mod. Big difference since it's an exponential increase in speed the higher you go.


You should be able to look around and see what are the average stats on the weapons. Only one I can remember off the top of my head is my T21. It's in the area of 7.5 speed damage is at 180/400 . It hasn't been sliced yet and it's a normal T21.


As for what to hunt a Krayt with. The SG82 is AP0 while the Krayt is AR3. Which means right there you have the SG82 doing 12.5%. Then you minus any resists it may have vs cold.


The T21 is AP3 so it does 100% damage vs the AR3. Then minus the resists.

dont even bother trying for NS vibro units. 1 - you have to camp the NS queen, which on my server is a daily race to kill her at server reboot. 2 - she doesnt drop the motos to often, you could be killing her daily for a month and get nothing.


yes rifle speed is mods are awsome. instead of shooting strafe2 at 2 seconds (with speed slice)at 90sp, you can shoot it at 1 second (with dmg slice)with 97sp thus doing way more dmg cuz you hit twice as fast with a higher dmg rifle.

thanks for the info. just killed my first elder, took about 15 minutes.. but damnit i was a foot away from her corpse and it poof'd... atleast the sentinel with her gave me 500 credits! and spellweavers, now i think i know why people go rifleman/tk/fencer a bit more..
