Guys last night I was doing quenkers, the normal ones not savages. I came across the /point blan area shot 1. WOW let me tell you it saves my life, normally I would not be able to complete a mission cause I try and be a "sniper" but everyone keeps rusing me and killing me fast, but what I discoverd last night when you get to a hive:

get off bike, and target the hive and spam /point blank area 1, if you spam the hive, all of the animals will run to heal the hive and only a couple animals will attack you, when you use point blank area 1, you SHOOT everything meaning the hive, and all of the animals!!!

somelse try this out and tell me what you think? I am just 0010 in Rifleman, and 0012 in Swordsmen. Any one have any tips for me? =)

I used this tactic through nearly all of the combat professions during my hologrind days, and yes it works great! pbae1 is a basic marksman skill so any ranged profession gets it. This tactic also works for melee professions once you get your first area attack. Saves a lot of time and frustration!

Im glad u've found this attack to be usefull, i know pba 1 is the attack i used to get most of rifleman. it seems to be a "hidden" attack, cause everyone overlooks it (its give at novice marksman).

What are the Damage and Delay mods on this attack?

Rava G'Lok, Master Architect, Master Rifleman, Master Marksman, Former Master Tailor, Former Master Artisan.
Sleemo, Master Droid Engineer, Master Artisan, Future Master Shipwright, and all around craft-monkey.

the only good thing about this really is because you are targeting the lair. lairs give you the uncanny ability to land every shot as it is impossible to miss a lair. so at novice rifle instead of hitting a quenker 1/4 times like it should be in sniping mode, you hit every one with every shot you take because you have perfect accuracy.

Actually thats probably due to the fact that you don't have any penalties to hit while using the point blank shots.
