Thread: nOOb'ish question about rifle speed

I'm novice rifleman and have been advised that for my current skill level the best weapon to use is a speed sliced Laser rifle...
my question is this, when checking the speed of a weapon is a higher or lower number better.
so for example my current standard laser rifle has a speed of something like 5.7 and the speed sliced one i'm looking at getting is 4.4
also as its sliced and "may attract unwanted imperial attention", what happens if the dirty imp ping pongs find a sliced weapon on you?
do they fine you or take it away?

My fellow soldiers will fine you if you get stopped with it. Just avoid the cities with lots of stormtroopers, ie "the crackdown".
The lower the number the better. Would you rather fire your rifle once every 5.7 seconds or every 4.4 seconds? And once you get the money, look for a speed sliced t-21. I got one with a 33% speed pup brings it down to a nice 3.8 speed. and a damage sliced t-21 is also nice to have...

The time is how long you have to wait before you can fire again. So the lower the number the better. As for getting scanned...if you a covert reb they will most likely turn you overt and attack you.

Cute Crackdown note: Colonels are instantly turned Overt no matter what. That's been my experience anyways. It's kinda fun. Instead of avoiding Kaadara as I used to, now I'm determined to get there and sneak my way in to the starport without getting caught. Because as soon as one of the Stormtroopers begins searching(and they will), they break it off and claim to 'recognize' you from the Imperial Holonet as 'Colonel so-and-so'(In my case "Hey, you're Colonel Kezia Sunshade! Get her!"). Good fun

I like the Crackdown to. Although for me, they Cop to the man and say "Oh, I didn't recognize you sir! There's no need to trouble you, move along."
