Thread: solo elders?

hi i just got master rifleman and i was wondering if i could solo an elder. i had no problem with elders with swordsman before patch but it was really slow. so i took up rifleman but i donno what has happened after the patch. any tips or comments?

lol....as long as they don't have a stun baton....first NS elder I saw on patch day/

lol haha. they have stun batons? man i don wanna waste my stun armors on those crazy **edit**.

You want to take on a community elder you'd better up your post count buddy
I'd say that yes, you should be able to. However it'll take a bit of tweaking your way of play a bit I'm sure. Afterall, unless it is 100% resist you can take it down...eventually.

I haven't tried this since the last patch... so I guess it won't work very well anymore...
But, this is it:
Get full set of armor on... (worked with kinetic ubese but that was before NPC changes)
Intimidate 2
Then HeadShot3 until the intimidate drops and put a new one on
Note: I'm MB, MR and TKM
And if there are protectors and other sisters protecting use warcry2 and take them out 1 by 1.

Well, I spent a few days on Dath just hunting Nightsisters. I've come to the conclusion that they like to hurl stuff at you, and zap you with an AOE Lightningattack, as well as force choke, debilatate and force knockdown.
So, you'll need 80% composite armor, and you'll a kinetic and lightning layer. You'll also need a crate of about 5 swoops. They like to destroy yours if you try to get away. And they can destroy it in two hits at most.
You'll also need knockdown defenses, so that if you do get knocked down, which will happen, eventually, you'll be able to get back up before getting hit twice and insta-deathblowed.
You'll need all that stuff if you wanna survive the scenario where you aggro any type of nightsister while driving by them, and also if you happen to stick a bleed on one of them while you conceal shot them to death. Its actually cheaper to conceal shot them instead of ruining a set of armor to solo just 2 or three Elders by tanking them.
I personally think this is the best Nightsister Elder Solo template where you use JUST rifles:
Novice Medic, Master Marksman, Brawler 4/0/0/0, TKA 4/0/0/4, Master Rifleman, and Pistoleer 0/0/4/3. (Also not a bad PvP template, now that I think about it)
Here are the benefits:
1. You get the +5 speed of a Master Marksman, which is nice no matter what.
2. You also get maxedout ranged and melee defense. (134 Melee and 132 ranged)
3. You get defense vs.
Dizzy +50
Posture change +50
Blind +50
Knockdown +50
Stun +50
4. The ability to meditate, so if they stick a bleed on you and you survive the getaway, you can heal any wounds you get from the bleed, as well as the bleed itself.
5. Intimidate and warcry
6.A knockdown of your own, pistol whip.
There's probably more but I can't think of any right now.

hmmm. i was on dath and i had no problems with the ns, taking them 2 at a time since i can do both kinetic and energy. but solo elders? gotta be joking me. there is no way I could have soloe'd it, i kept intimidated, and it hit me for 300-800 dmg after initimidate, melee damage mitigation, 80 comp, and melee defense. sometimes u think how strong can a single npc be? imagine if i didnt have armor and all that defenses. she would probably do 15k dmg per second to me. (u know whats funny? seeing a nightsister do specials with a scythe. give me a break. have they done that krayt quest and got a weaponsmith to make it for them? hmm seems stupid to me and whats with the choking stuff?). anyways the result of my hunting was 2 crystals and a stupid standard lance. hope i can find better stuff next time

I soloed one with conceal shot before the patch, it never even touched me once the whole time but it took AGES, not tried since then.
