Thread: a call for a master rifleman

I am in desperate need for help, and I hear Riflemen are the way to beat Mellichae... I will reward you for your time and services... I am looking to do this mission tonight (Feb 17th) at 7pm EST. bored at work counting down the hours.... let me know thanks

unfortunately i have always been a bit of a solo player, and i have been around since day one.. most of the peeps I use to play with have left. Now being a solo player has bit me in the @$$

Here is the storyabout Mellichae for 2 Riflemen:
I have been on three attempts to kill Mellichae and succeeded each time.
I and another rifleman have killed him twice pretty much by ourselves.. once for him, once for me.
Here is how you do it with two riflemen (may even work solo).
IMPORTANT: After approaching the camp, get as close as possible without getting seen, Tabthrough the enemies, and find out where Mellichae is. Everything you do will be geared on where he is standing. He wanders around sometimes, so always be aware of how far away he is from you. You want to keep him at the greatest distance (a MINIMUM of 66m away from you).
All three times I've been on the missionMellichae walks away from the center of the camp by himself at some point. Hopefully he will do this for you. It makes it easy to take out everybody but him.
The ABBA Rule: Armor, Buffed, Brandy, Ahrisa
1. Approach the camp and find the two green crystals (40K HAM each).
They are opposite each other (goes red, green, red, green)
Split up and take out the GREEN crystals first. Conceal shot will work.
Take out the RED crystals second.
They are opposite each other (goes red, green, red, green)

Take out the RED crystals second.
While taking out the crystals, you may get aggroed by some of the Sith, but as long as it is not Mellichae, you should EASILY be able to handle them.
2. Next, take out Daktar and all of his Sith buddies: If Mel is off by himself somewhere,this is easy. StrafeShot 2 or Headshot 3 will easily take out ALL of the enemies except Mellichae. I was able to stand at 60m from Daktar and blast him while he blasted me. He
died and I didnt have a scratch in my HAM bars (as long as you follow the ABBA rule, above).

3. Okay, this leaves Mellichae. He should now be the only one left in camp.
When I did this with one other rifleman, he got prone 64m on one side of Mel, and I got prone 64m onhis oppositeside. We blasted away with Conceal Shot and MEL DIDNT MOVE AN INCH until he got down to approx. 15% health. Unfortunately at that point, he aggroed me, but I was waiting for it. I popped up and began running and firing StrafeShot2 while my buddy followed us with StrafeShot2. The main thing to remember is to be ready to move fast onceMel starts moving.
Here are the key things to do when Mel aggroes you:
1. Keep running away from him, while firing SS2.
2. Mel is FASTER THAN YOU and will slowly gain on you.
3. If Mel gets within 35 to 40m you may be TOAST, so save your BurstRun for when mel hits40m.
4. Between you and your buddy, you should be able to finish him off pretty fast with SS2.

awesome thanks for the tips!
we did just that last night an MBH with lightining cannon and myself a TKM no prob taking out the crystals with the LLC, and i could more then handle all of the sith even Daktar (spelling) we got down to just Mellichae, and that's when it got ugly me being TK i fell intop his trap,

bad news I now have to work until 9pm instead of 5pm so it looks like 10pm is the new start time, I hope you two can still make and and perhaps some more. sorry for the time change
any helpers would be great there's 4 of us now and another one or two would be fantastic

My apology, Nevik_dolos...
I accidentally assumed you were rifleman too, thusmy post about killing Mel with 2 riflemen. Definitely a couple of riflemen can help you. My personal opinion is that he is much easier to beat with Ranged instead of Melee. What Idon't know is if you (the owner of the mission) even have to lay a hand on him. Will you complete the mission if two riflemen take him out for you? You may just have to be in the vicinity, or maybe you can run in when he gets down to 15% health and start beating on him while your gunmen finish him off....
Might want to post back here tomorrow and let us know how it goes...

I will definatley let you know what happens. Last night when we did attack him i held my own for a few short moments then Mell landed 3 or 4 shots of 1750++
but i was getting my shots in but we know his HAM is better then mine lol
so i wont have a problem landed one or to and running away, I am just happy I am almost done with TKM I just took it as i had already done most of the other combat profs and I was a holo grinder.... I sure miss when I was a Master Rifleman, would have been handy now.

well i tried once to solo it, got to Mellichae and the same result as the night before.
But then that is when i ran into Ta'tanka, and mrripper sent me a tell within a few moments after that. Then came Sukewalker, and Sweete.... mujawba was on the way but by then Mellichae was no more....

Or, You can do it the way my Husband and I did.
Heis Swordsman/Master CH, I am Master RifleWoman and Master CH.
I concealed Mellichae till he started to bleed.
I kept Mell on me the entire time, so that he didn't Agro my Husband.
Although I was slaughtered 5 times, I was only 200m from where the camp was each time I cloned. lol
I would zoom back out there and start to conceal again, taking more of his mind away...than when he agroed on my Husband, I would bleed him again and get his attention right quick.
I concealed and Bleed him down to one hit point in which my Husband ran up and tapped him and killed him looting a Select Crystal from him. 
I was Unbuffed, Obviousely from being killed, and No armour what-so-ever.
And thus being before Brandy and Arisha. (back before September 2004).
It was great fun to do as a Husband and Wife team, and for someone who knows how to use the conceal and doesn't mind cloning.
The bad part was... we forgot to take out the camp first...lol so he respawned, and there were 4 of him after that...
I looked lovely at my Husband and said sweetly... "FORGET IT DUDE, YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN FROM HERE ON OUT!!!".. lol
Not really, but it was fun.
So it can be done with Rifleman/RifleWomen.
