are we really getting a +150 meter range for rifleman /drool


if so tell me


also hear accuracy while moving will suck though /cry

I heard one of the corrs talking about increased range in the CU, but I can't find it. So speculation.. lies who knows. Can't even remember the context.

They'd have to do some serious work to the graphics engine first. At the moment things don't appear on screen/radar until you are well under 150m range. Admittedly when they do appear you can then back off to 150m and still have them on screen.

I heard they are dropping the AP to light and Max/Min dmg to about 200s-500s but increasing Acc.... I totally dis agree with this... Ill shoot myself... In-game of course

Actually if you read the CU armor document that thunderheart posted they are dropping AP all together.


who knows about therange - it is a big technical issue /shrug


as for accuracy while moving - wait and see.

Please remember that rumors are just that. Rumors.


The sandbox testing has not even begun yet. Even when it does you'll hear rumors. But also remember that the sandbox is the Alpha testing. Things that are there can and will change based on testing. There will also likely be changes between Beta and Live as other bugs and issues are exposed.


We've got a long way ahead of us. Anything like this is just speculation.

I dream of an increase in range. Whether or not it's feasible with the current graphics limitations is up to the dev gods. It would be an amazing feat if they can figure it out.

That message refers to the biggest nerf we have had it was thenear the endof 2003 (the necro you linked to is post dated at 08-19-2003 03:24 PM)... it hurt like hell. It does not refer to other range issues that this post was talking about as far as I can tell. otoh the range band changes were nice - at least you could still shoot.

Feels like I keep coming back for punishment... because I'm back to discuss another "nerf." Specifically, the T21.


The T21 was underpowered a while back, and we fixed some bugs that had made it that way, Now its true power is revealed, and we're scared. It seems able to do multiple thousands of points of damage in a single hit when used with specials. It's not supposed to.


So we're looking at these changes. What do you think?


  • MinDamage Range going from 105..195 to 75..125 (worse)

  • MaxDamage Range going from 298..553 to 140..290 (worse)

  • AttackSpeed range going from 81..117 to 51..97 (divide these by 10 and that’s the time in seconds) (better) Speed not range (8.1 - 11.7 speed to 5.1 - 9.7 speed)

  • Midrange going from 60 meters to 50 (better)

  • Midrange mod going from -40..-15 to -10..15 (Better) this might have been better left alone....

  • Armor Piercing Value going from Heavy to Light (worse) This would have caused a war - it almost did

  • This weapon would do 450 base damage to an unarmed opponent.. It would use the existing multipliers for special moves.
