Thread: My thought on the melee damage multiplier fiasco

This 2.5x damage in melee is ridiculous. It means you can get one shot killed in PvP and you also have a really hard time taking on even blue mobs when they get in close.Combined with the warping MOBs I have been killed by Desert Demons more than any otherenemy in the game and thats simply due to a couple of them getting in close and hitting me for 400+ damage at a time.


Surely you should be made worse in close combat, not them madestronger - they should be able to hit you with greater ease, not greater force. Give them asizeable 'To Hit' bonus, Kreetlesand other melee fighters shouldnt become super strong just because Im holding a rifle.


Also, I am also unsure as to why Rifles are singled out for this penalty...surely the idea of the penalty was to balance ranged vs. melee... not rifle vs. melee. Even Pistols are not exactly idea weapons to use at point blank range.
