I remember that thing from Jedi Outcast... Pretty sweet weapon, and yeah come to think of it, rifleman should have it (although toned down a bit from what it was in Outcast ). What kind of damage do you suppose it would do?

Kind of the problem there it would need to be a bit toned down for playability (or have some restrictions placed on it like Commando weapons) See disruptor weapons in the SW are *highly* illegal the DX-2 Pistol and DXR-6 Rifle are both highly illegal disruptor weapons developed by Tenloss [which is detailed in my original post] these weapons are actually able to vaporize a person. But they can also be fired at lower power to inflict extremely powerful damage. We could simply have these implemented as our 'sniper' rifle. The NPCs in JO even used it to snipe us, if you played the Nar Shaddaa level those Rodians did it quite often from quite far away. And on top of it it requires no extra workf rom the devs besides moving the cert to Riflemen and messing with the stats so they are appropriate for the role (Sniping)

I can see this weapon as having dmg ranges that of a Flamethrower, AP2, and much higher speed (Maybe like 12-15 seconds unsliced) it would still be a reasonable weapon when sliced for speed and/or used at Master Rifleman or Master Sniping. Any responses?

Personally I think if the DXR-6 is switched to a rifleman it's certification should be higher or at the tier II in the sniping tree. I mean really, if a rifle can literally incinerate a person that's the best kinda rifle there is

They should switch the DXR-6 and the E11 around.

Quoted : Although rather slow to action, the Tenloss DXR-6 Disruptor Rifle is irreplaceable as a long-distance weapon, capable of zooming in and sniping far-away foes before they even get the chance to turn their eyestalks in your direction. -http://www.avault.com/reviews/review_temp.asp?game=jkout

Tenloss DXR-6 Disruptor Rifle:

Developed by Tenloss:

Tenloss = This criminal organization was based in the Baji Sector during the Galactic Civil War. For much of that period, they were an offshoot of Black Sun. They held sway in over sixty Outer Rim star systems, and controlled over a dozen front corporations in areas such as entertainment, cargo transport, and business management. Tenloss specialized in gunrunning, extortion, and smuggling. After the Battle of Endor, Tenloss quickly expanded as the Empire lost control of many sectors of space. By the time Grand Admiral Thrawn returned from the Unknown Regions, Tenloss had taken control of criminal activities in Astal, Dail, Lol, and Skine

Description:
Used primarily by criminal elements.
Primary Fire:
Fires single bolt of energy inflicting medium damage. mediocre rate of fire.
Secondary Fire:
Uses scope to zoom in and activates disruption mode. after zooming charge weapon with primary fire and the bolt can disintigrate living creatures. Hld secondary fire more or less to zoom more or less.

If you've ever played Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy you should know this rifle.

*PLEASE* im asking you all to support this thread and hope the devs read it. Maybe we will get a new rifle to supplement the restricted use of the T-21. DXR6 IS NOT A CARBINE. PERIOD.

Please keep this thread up!!

including the DX-2 disruptor pistol and DXR-6 disruptor rifle."--http://www.geocities.com/poser_502/weaponstech.htm

Negative on the E-11 bro. The E-11 had *many* variants, one of which was extended and used as a Rifle. But its true they are not efficient rifles the accuracy is very low to compensate for a high firing rate.

Hmm..I think we should get it at Sniping IV. So when we use sniper shot...it will incinerate that person! Ya!

I would love to get a new gun, even one for each class as long as only masters can get it. That one was a sweet 1 shot gun that left no evidence. I like. Also I would love to see a gun that we can use for the countersniping tree that, combined with making us invisible on the radar while undercover hope hope, would make us true snipers. The Xerrol Nightstinger rifle. It's EU (come on show me I"m not the only fanboy) and it fires invisible bolts. It was only used by Imperial snipers so it could be a faction schematic that will make it more pricey for rebels but that would kick such ass. Fire and have noone know what the hell was going on.

what i think is that the dxr-6 and the t21 should be switched around because the t21 is a cannon which is kinda like a SAW or squad automatic weapon which sounds like a carbine oriented gun

But we're not that sure on pistoleer. So what's up? Why is pistoleer suddenly so popular? It didn't used to be out of line with the other advanced professions.

Untrue. Carbines are smaller weapons, compact and made for medium range. A SAW is a heavy machine gun. Squad Automatic Weapon, it is meant for suppressive and cover fire. A M4 is a carbine. The T-21 is a rifle, it has been used for sniping but its also used by Imperial Assault Troopers as simply a Rifle. DXR-6 is a smaller, high powered, highly illegal rifle often employed by the less savory types of people in the galaxy as a sniping rifle. It's got a very slow rate of fire with high powered shots. The DX-2 is the pistol version of the DXR-6. And another discrepnecy from SWG Devs. FWG-5 is not a pistol, its actually a flachette weapon, (fires shrapnel) if anything its a carbine or rifle. The T-21 fits fine as a rifle, but would also fit as a Commando weapon. Secondly, with all the BS in Commando I can't believe they neglected hte E-Web as a heavy weapon. I digress. Lets support the idea of a DXR-6 in the Rifleman tree!

well yeah youre right on that one but i still think the tusken rifles should do kenetic(sp?) dmg instead..i think tusken rifles are the best cause tehy are the only things that sound like and looks like current rifles
