I know there are alot of issues with Rifleman, however at the top of the list of fixes and I hope the first thing the Dev's look at and change is the 2.5 X damage we get from melee. This is single handed the dumbest thing in the game that has never been changed , but that needs to be changed bad.

Hell out of all the ranged combat classes Rifleman actually are the best suited for taking on a melee person, more so then carbineers or pistoleers. If anyone should have a 2.5x damage it should be them and not us ( let me state I'm not saying I want to see them have these damage mods attached to them I'm just saying that we are better suited to defend ourselves ). If any Dev's happen to be reading this ( LOL ) consider this. In basic training every soldier learns how to defend themselve in hand to hand w/ a rifle in their hands, not a pistol or submachinegun but a good old trusty rifle. Soldiers through history didn't drop their rifle to draw out a pistol if the fight went hand to hand they instead would use teir pistol as a effective close up weapon instead. I'm not asking to add a special attack or anything to us, I'm just asking for you guys to lift this retarded melee penalty from us.

You mean "use their rifle as an effective...", right?

Yes, a rifle even without a bayonet makes a better infighting weapon than a pistol or submachinegun...pistol whip...sheesh.

Then again, why are people still holding on to their rifles at melee range?

Now there is a new special move /gunBut

drops the target to the ground and stuns them

or perhaps /gore

causes the target to bleed likehealth shot from the pistol tree.
