Hi Guys;
I am currently training for Rifleman/Ranger and I just got /conceal shot. I went to test it in Lok, getting 9k missions. True enough, when I use it on Mobs, as long as I don't miss, I can shoot for hours; and that's as long as it takes to bring a creature down!
Can someone tell me how the damage per shot works? I am using a laser rifle with 140-420 damage with 4.7sec. Some shots do 1500 damage while others merely do 180. What is a good spec/kind rifle that I can get that does good enough all-around damage? I know there are different types of damage and that not all of them are as good with all mobs so what should i get?

Get yourself anice speed sliced T21 (try to keep the speed below 5.5). The T21's have a much better low end damage and with the Armour Piercing (AP) rating of 3 you will get additional damage multipliers for most things you shoot at.

Yeah, the problem with Laser rifles is the damage range is insane. T-21s are much better, so go ahead and grab one
At this point, a speed slice would be better for you I think along with some Mind/speed power-ups for it. They will lower the mind cost of your specials and make the weapon shoot faster!
A few crates should be good to start with.If I recall correctly, the multiplier on Concealshot is 2.5x. Not figuring in resists and junk
, this would make your target take between 350-1050 damage per shot. Since the Laser is AP2, it should be even more BUT the T-21 is AP3, so imagine the fun! 
The downside to the T-21 is it does Energy damage (not too bad a thing mind you, but it's kind of a common resist). Investing in a DXR-6b would be a good idea once you are certified (Concealment III I think). It's AP2 and does Acid damage, so not too shabby
I hope that's enough to get ya started.

Just a quick note, the cert for the DXR is at Counter Sniping 2.
Also, check out this link for some extra info on how damage and speed are calculated.....
