since now wookiees have armor with high resists i was wondering if the calculation for pvp is wrong when i get hit by a master pistoleer, btw, i am a master rifleman

he shoots with a special, i get hit for 300+ damage

i shoot him with advanced strafe, i only hit him for 100 or less damage

i'm confused from the numbers i'm seeing

hunting armor i currently own is 80 kin/ 35 stun/ 65 base

It all depends on many things you have not stated. What pistol was he using? What is your armor vulnerable to? What weapon are youusing, and what armor washe wearing. Was he on damage reduction food? Etc...

If you shoot a T21 against 80% - 90% Energy resist armor, they are wearing a personal shield generator, and/or if they are on damage reduction food, it is not unreasonable to see this kind of low damage. Working backwards from 90% Energy resist armor:

Damage backing out resistances factors:100 / (1 - .90) = 1,000

Adjusted damage backing out armor piercing: 1000 / 1.56 = 641

Adjust Damage backing out PvP reduction:641 / .25 = 2,564

So a 100 point hit against a Player Character wearing 90% resist armor is the PvE combat window equivalent hit of a 2,564 point hit before armor and resists are calculated. If he also had a 40% Energy resist shield generator, you can figure that was the equivalent of a 2,739 point hit in PvE. And if he additionally had just eaten 40% damage reduction food, you can figure you were doing the equivalent of a 4,565 point hit in PvE before armor and resists are calculated. Therefore, there was likely nothing wrong with your damage; he probably just had high resist armor, was wearing a PSG and may have also been on damage reduction food.

As far as his damage goes, I am assuming you were not wearing a shield generator nor were you on damage reduction food because you mention neither. Thus, for instance, if his weapon was an Geo Stun pistol:

Damage backing out resistance factors: 300 / (1 - .35) = 462

Adjusted damage backing out armor piercing: 462 / .50 =924

Adjusted damage backing out PvP reduction: 925 / .25 =3,696

So against your stun armor, a Geo Pistol would do the PvE eqivalent of 3,696 damage in the combat window. If he was using Stopping Shot with its 5x damage modifier, that would mean the pistol (after also backing out the standard 1.5x damage modifer for all shots) was doing: 3,696 / 5 / 1.5 = 493 damage. If that pistol had a 33% max damage powerup and got a 35% damage slice, the base pistol would have only had to have been able to do 275 off-the-shelf. That is reasonable for a pistol base damage.

Other possibilities: He washitting you with damage you were vulnerable to: PvE equivalent hits of 1,200

He was hitting you with an AP1 weapon against your base resists: PvE equivalent of: 3,429.

Therefore, these figures are not outside the relm of resonable possibilities.
