Thread: Is a E11 worth the money?

I have seen somevery nice E11's around and i was wondering are they worth the money. I dont know anything about them. The stats on them look good. If stats are high are they good PvP?

The E11 IMO is completely uselss. 99% of the time Lasers are much much better as far as damage goes. OOC what are the stats?

unfortunately just about all the iconic weapons of star wars are relegated to something a little less powerful than a wet noodle. for instance the jawa ion rifle whose sole purpose was to disable droids at close range is the end all of PVP. the DL44 pistol favoured by smugglers is little better than a CDEF pistol. the E11 which in the star wars universe is a powerful small arm but in SWG it is a joke. the wookie bowcaster is next to useless for wooks on anything but sick durni.
maybe the combat revamp will correct these shortcomings but i doubt it. i doubt that the most effective PVP attack will not continue to be "tossing" a disease 64 meters...

it used to be that a well made E11 was perfect for puttingstatus effects on stackersbecause it had good accuracy, but I believe you can get better accuracy now on the DRX or whatever it's called.
Also, I think it only takes 1 krayt tissue for an E11. I have some Krayted E11's, nothing spectacular but like I said, I used to use it to land some status effects and it worked pretty good for that.

So very true, the enhance e11 did not even help it become a popular gun. Mostly it is relegated to secondary status due to a a low damage potential. Vs the laser rifle which is a lower cert'd weapon the laser rifle wins in every categorie. This is something we should see if they can fix.

I think a well made E11 will get better accuracy then a laser rifle, so it doesn't win in every category.

I'm not sure, but could the E11 also have slightly better average damage than a laser rifle due to the huge spread of the laser? Or at least I bet it does better average damage against someone with ranged mitigation 3. Maybe a weaponsmith can answer some of those questions, it's been too long since I've browsed lasers and E11's.

e11 and laser can have similar accuracy (e11 will usually edge it by a tiny bit....) and ranged mitigation 3 could help alot but still
167-285 damage range on my krayt e11 = reduces damage by 70 (ranged mitigation 3) so 167-214
101-760+ laser rifle = reduces by 395 from max so 101 - 365 .... still a better range
*wishes she could remember all the stats on her e11 and laser but hasn't used them much since the t-21, dxr6, and berserker she got....

The thing I've found with the E11 is that most people do not realize you're a rifleman when you use it. They think you are a carbineer and generally pass you up in favor of the T21 toters. Its obviously not 100%, but its just something I've noticed. It is also a good non-master gun, if for some crazy reason you want to be a rifleman and not master. A speed sliced krayt weapon with a speed powerup will wipe out most of the issues you have with slow weapons.

I may be remembering wrong, but I thought the nice thing about the E11 was it's speed. I was thinking it was significantly faster than a laser... Can someone confirm or deny? IF this is true, then it is not a bad weapon for lower levels. Maybe a good speed slice and a speed powerup and you'd be firing once a second??? I am at work, so I am going strictly from memory here....

Had forgotten about that (as I shoot at speed cap on everything) but you are correct it can be up to 50% faster then the laser rifle...

Depends.
If you are a master rifleman, then yes, it is completely useless.
However, in my opinion, the E11 is the perfect grinding rifle because:
It has Medium armor piercing.
It is faster than a T-21, and about as fast as a Laser rifle.
It does consistant damage, so it is better than a Laser rifle.
Also, if you do a lot of non-buffed hunting, a 30%+ damage slice on an E11 is very nice because you can spam conceal shot (Or anything else you use)for awhile without worrying about your HAM, as long as you've taken at least 1 Varasian Brandy.

ok here goes i have had many issues with the comparison with the e11 and laser rifle
laser rifle is cert level 2
e11 cert 4
both ap2
speed aint much between them
accuracy goes to e11 by a kats whisker
e11 has less range
i have yet to see a e11 max damage go over 300
the only thing its strongly win on over the laser rifle is that it has a high min damage
only thing i can say it has its use for is when fighting small nasties and dont need specials to killem use the e11 and save your condition on ya good guns.
only way round this is either swap the certs around on the laser rifle and e11
or beef the e11 up!

Funny, I always use the E11 over the laser. Depends on the E11, actually. I don't buy the uber Krayt lasers with marginally better damage. Ranged damage mitigation is another thing to consider and will kill the lasers damage.
I use my laser to finish lairs mostly.
