Thread: Who said GDk hunting was hard?

Probly one of the easiest thinhg to solo. Decided to go out to lok and just look for them, was on my way back when I said, Oh Damn, there a GDK. So I hoped off my Av21, and started hammering it with SS2, 10 minute later it was dead. I was like I won't loot anything, BAM, I looted 9 GDk Scale 
. I proceeded to kill 10 more GDK and looted nothing but it is really easy.
With TKM MRM and Medic, it should take like 2 minute to kill it, and not worry about dieing at all.

as a TKM you can drive away, meditate to get rid of the disease and drive back

try it with mindshot2, headshot3 next time..
that should be much faster, like 4 mins max...

hehe i always lure them to a imperial and let the stormtroopers handle it and then i loot (nothing) heh

It took 10 minute fir the first one, using a 400 T21. THe next one took only 4-5 minutes, it wuite fun.

. A funny story is the reason I went to Lok was because I had trained someone in Rifleman, and I never disbanded so I saw he was on Lok. So I went there and I was like, "WTEFF is there to do on Lok". Oh Ya, GDK. Went out for 5 minute, was heading back and saw it. I asked the guy in my group if he wanted to help me kill it, he was like 3k Meter away too, he said no, stupid descion

I disagree on how easy it is to fight GDKs, for one they can disase your mind which is BAD news, I"m a doctor/swordsman and I had the worst luck having my mind diseased before I could heal it in time and it got stacked again and the 3 second heal cap makes it hard enough. You definately need a doctor or a Jedi with healing abilities alongside, that is of course if the GDK gets within range to you. I've fought GDKs with rifles and they can go down fairly fast with a T21.
I fought 5 GDKs by myself and came back with 399 health wound and 1/1 mind after buffs disappeared but I got 12 scales altogether.

Nice lot, that 36 million on my server easily. Most people don't know that Disease can only wound you to your basic ham. If you have an 800 Mind, it can only wound you 800. It deal relatively NO damage to a TKM, I had a friend tank for me later, that night. It worth killing them becasue when you loot, you loot big

GDK is the one of the easiest creatures to kite in the game. He can run at very high speed, faster than a landspeeder, but he doesnt do this unless you are a certain distance away. When running away he only runs at a low speed, allowing you to fire on him without him hitting you at all.
He takes almost no time to kill.
But... his loot drop rate is something like 1-70 or worse.

GDK hunting is a sinch. You bleed him with mindshot2, then drag him to some gurks or snorbals and he'll start attacking them. Then you intimidate him so he doesnt kill the critters and blast away with headshot3. Just keep yourslef full of brandy and ahrisa and you'll never have a problem.
