ima master BE/CH currently and i have a tree in carbineer which i will have to drop and switch it for ranged support when the cu hits. that will mean i will only be able to be novice pistol/carbineer or rifleman. i went to tc and i built my char to see he has a lvl of 56 in the new system.im able to use a host of carbines at that lvl but im also able to use a lot of rifles and pistols. these supposely different weapon types dont seem to play all that differently.add to that every special i have access to at my lowly novice lvl, can be done with any weapon.
maybe theres something im not seeing so could someone point out to me the pros/cons of being a novice carbineer as opposed to novice pistoleer/ rifleman in this new system?

If novice is all you're going to be, then the only differentiator between being novice rifle, or novice pistol, or novice carbineer, is the weapon-specific bonuses you get for that weapon type. Which, when compared to your generic weapon mods, are probably pretty small. In other words, not a big difference at all. I'd suggest you take whichever you like the look/feel of.
