Im thinking of starting an alt and makign him cm/rifleman since that combo is so popular and does so good in pvp. I hear rifleman's a total pain to grind, whats a good way to grind it? im used to grindign melee and i reliaze marksman works very diffrently.

if u have something else tanking for you go 003x first. if your tanking for yourself then its 400x first. the AOE attacks are not that useful unless you have someone or something else to hold the critters in place at a distance.

other than that same critters that you use to do melee you use for rifles.

before you continue with that thought... go to the CM forum and read what they are talking about. They have essentially experienced the greatest nerf since the Launch of the game.

also go to http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=rifleman&message.id=70618

for more beginner info on rifle ^_^

I'm not disagreeing with what Barb-Wire said, but I leveled to Master a bit differently. I got Concealment 1 first, so that I could try to draw out mobs one at a time (I had no tank). Sometimes it worked, sometimes it did not. Then I prioritzed the sniping column for the enhanced accuracy, and levled up rifle abilities as soon as I got 'em. IMO, rifle speed and accuracy directly translate into faster grinding. Not terribly different than what Barb said, but, I'm just giving my input. Also, Counter-Sniper 2 givesyou access to the DXR-6b, which is great because of it's high fire/high accuracy and acid damage. You may opt to level up CS first just to get at this gun, which is a great firearm..just food for thought.
