Hey guys.
I am working on getting a new character up to be a rifleman/ranger to support my crafting BE/Chef. Progress is fairly slow but I must admit that I haven't put too much effort into learning the "right" way to grind after the CU.
Anyway, I was in a group on Dant with a bunch of guys that I didn't realy know. One of them says to the group leader "Gonna go AFK for a bit, I will just headshot your target, ok?". He went AFK almost immediately so I didn't get to ask him how he planned on doing that but apparently it worked quite well.
His toon would attack whatever target the groupleader was attacking. I pressume he was getting XP in the process.
So the question is: How the heck can he do that? I mean, is there some command that goes like "/target groupleader" and then "/attack groupleader target" or something.
Anyone know?

Likely he was just targeting the group leader, and with "pass through" targeting he was using head shot as his auto attack (Ctrl-click on the icon in the toolbar) and had himself set to follow the group leader. Thats all, no special command or anything, just new game mechanics.
Cheers!

Auto attack didn't work for me in that situation, but any attack I started manually (or, presumably, with a macro) worked. Just target the target-caller and you can AFK until you need to move.

"Pass through"? Ok I admit I am still learning my way around the CU but I don't know the command for that. And how does the groupleader "call the target" so that the AFK guy hits that specific target?
Maybe I am slow here, but the exact commands still elude me. Could one of you guys explain it to "thicko" over here one more time
?

Pass through isnt a command, and neither is "calling the target". When you're in a group, and you target someone who you are grouped with, and hit an attack, it "passes through" them and hits whatever target they are targeting. If you target them, set /follow and use Ctrl-Click on your toolbar to set an auto-attack. It will attack whatever that player has targeted...even if he switches targets.

Usually in a group, somebody will hit one target and everybody follows suit. That's what I mean ... once the person you are targetting hits a target, you can hit the SAME target by using whichever command on them (say /headshot here).
