Thread: What SAC is necessary for non-stop spam of specials?

I was looking at doing this too with my BH. I found a pistol with a 61 sac cost last night. Death Hammer Pistol I think it was. Not very good dps (around 170), but that's not what its purpose is. With a sac powerup, I think it got down to 54. Haven't gotten to test it out yet though.

Have any of you found how low sac on weapon you need to be able to spam specials non-stop without loosing all action? If that is possible.

At least if I can continue to spam startle shot + disarming shot for a long time I would be happy lol

Some of my pistoleer friends have been able to spam specials non-stop btu I have not been able to do it with rifles (yet)

Saccaps on crafted weapons

All pistols (or at least those with advanced components): 65
All carbines: 73
All rifles: 82

Rifles can fire long term if you use a special like ranged shot but if you use any of our attacks there is no way around draining your action as intended by the devs. The long term sustainable fire rate of pistols is one of their advantages over rifles.

You can get there, but it would cost alot. DC-15 with 25% SAC pup took me down to 73 SAC. But it eats the rifle. It's one of the reasons I keep using the DC-15 - I'm trying to find if in the long term it has higher damage output that the T21 (taking into consideration it can crack out specials alot more, but does less damage).

If you have an 82 SAC rifle with a 35% SAC P-UP your cost would be 54. Of course to get that low you would be looking at a SEVERE accuracy penalty (-30ish).

You want none stop shooting action? Get yourself some Action decrease powerups. My good laser rifle is 64 SAC with one, and I"m told I dont even have the best version of this pup. All for the low low price of -21 accuracy. I love these things...

I used a 25% SAC pup on my 109 SAC cost bowcaster, and it got down to high 70's. It also had an accuracy penalty of 18 (off the top of my head). But I didnt notice any more mises and damage was still nice. Plus I could kite and fire far more shots with more action and hardlt ever got hit

This could of course be increased with foods, and the accuracy penalty be offest again by foods, stims, and SEAs. [My accuracy is 270 b4 pup so as it works on diminishing returns the small loss was hardly noticeable.] As above poster wrote though, the pups eat your weapon condition up fast.

It would be nice to get a really good rifle, ADK it, then use SAC pups. You could fire alot more shots than normal.

My guilds 14pt artisan made some -30% SAC -8 accuracy or thereabouts powerups tonight. Conductive borcarbitic copper DR 997 Con 980 OQ 902 and fiberplast DR 800OQ 997were used. With some amazing experimentations this makes for some amazing powerups. We got some 33% damage/ 7% speed, 24% speed/-4 accuracy, and 33%speed/-10accuracy amongst others. With the 33%speed powerups I run out of SAC pretty quickly using a mix of low and high damage specials, but using only improved headshot and advanced startleshot I lasted a bit longer on action while doing basically the same amount or more damage. My mod speed with them is 0.98. At this speed my mod dps hits between 911 and 956(i think it even hit 975 with one of the powerups because my mod speed was .96)depending on my rifle speed clothes. I found that using either the 33% damage or 33% speed powerups I killed lvl 39-43 bols in basically the same amount of time. However against some lvl 109's the speed powerups won out considerably in damage dealing. I am only lvl 54 so killing lvl109's shouldnt really be possible, but thanks to the island next to the MO it is. I will have to try them again tomorrow to do more testing on my 82 SAC laser rifle and see if these -30% powerups allow me to spam all my specials nonstop. I personally would say that for the moment just use your high damage specials and keep your action longer by doing that.

adv crit shot is very slow, no problem spamming it all the time, its action draining when shooting two different ones on different timers

I do what some of the above posters have said, for pve I use sac pups, get my sac to the high 70's. plus I take food and spices, mostly pixie and brandy or noodles. havent tried to solo real high content, but in groups fights it works like a charm, nothing a 1 sec sit down can't take care of after a fight
