basicaly im wondering if there is any down side to being close to the target, reduced accuracy,or anything like that. some people have said there is while others claim there isnt, just trying to clear this up

i would be stacking it with bounty hunter for the tanking ability, i would try to stay at range but sometimes close range cant be avoided, just woundering if there is any accual reason like some sort of penalty or somthing that would make you need to be at whatever number yards away from the target

generaly, its bad for a rifleman to get really close, our defenses are low enough that we get pounded to hard.

I dunno about accuracy but I am an old skool player from the first 6 months. Just started playing again yesterday. I noticed that I was hitting things at 2m almost 90% of the time. Just using my trusty ole E11. Not sure if you were around before SOE turned this game into a Jedi fest but back then you were lucky if you could hit anything with your riffle that was within 35m or so. We used to joke about the accuracy of ranged weaps. Pistols back then could hit anything at any range all the time. Carbines could hit things from about 10m to 45m all the time and rifles could only hit things from about 45m+. We used to say that pistoleers were the real snipers of the game hehehehe.

Well now down side YET but theres talk... dont know what they ar up to... If you want to play it safe for future Dev FUBARS go Cabine.... that said, I would not trade in my rifle.... I like the specials and the heavy hit to much
