does advanced aim even work? There's no change in stats ( just like a million other things) plus there's no increase in damage (as some suggested there would be). What's the dilly yo?

I USED TO take Defense Stacker 2....do you?

it improves aim by +240

it should show an icon if the warmup worked (it can fail)

if your accuracy is already +250 over that of the target's defenceit will not do any extra damage (but your miss rate should lower)

i tested aim out a little last nite. i used the normal rangedattack against someone unarmored with 200 defense - my accuracy mod is 200 - im using an adv laser rifle with 305 base dps - and only have master rifleman (with the base marksman needed).

normal shot:535 damage per hit everytime.

normal shot using deuterium-pyro +205 ranged accruacy drink: 590 damage per hit everytime.

normal shot using advanced aim: 707 damage per hit.

normal shot using adv aim and the drink: 707 damage per hit - either they dont stack or its borked.

i didnt get a chance to test this with head hit, and couldnt get sniper shot to hit while adv aim was on - but i didnt try to hard either, we were just playin around waiting for the group to form up for a hunting trip.

Try shooting a MDef without AIM then try using it. The difference is huge from what Ive seen. Just got done a 3 hour long battle on Starsider and with AIM up was was hitting considerably more often and I'm almost postive a *lot* more damage.

Advanced Aim also doesn't work with /cover (at least it doesn't for me). It seems to overwrite the cover state, and I also can't activate cover if aim is active. That makes aim pretty useless to me for setting up an initial volley (which for me is usually /cover /concealshot /concealshot /snipershot). The only time I find /aim useful is when I am too close to some object to be able to enter the /cover state, or if I don't want to go prone for my initial volley.

Thanks for the damage numbers drunKenobi--those were helpful.
