Thread: Please explain no medical skills

Can someone please explain to me why 99% of the templates I am seeing dont have medical skills.


I find whenever I am taking damage, it seems like even CM4000 isnt enough... and I know for a fact that having an extra little style or two isn't going to change that, unless its a REALLY good smuggler root.


I mean is stim D every 30 seconds really that great? Am I missing something here? How much does it heal and how often can you use it?

pretty much nothing survives 2 attacks by a full group so rarely are we damaged and if we are usually we have a doc with us or a cm with us to heal us. personal stims are nice as well if you really need some healing(can heal 800+ and can be used every 60secs)

If you are trying to solo stuff, medic is almost always needed, for group work, like ack said, most of the time its dead before it knows what happened.

Don't feel too bad about seeing rifleman templates running around with no medical skills; I'm Master Doctor/Master Rifleman/Master Medic, and I think it's essential to have SOME... but you have to break cover and stand to heal yourself. You cannot use any of the doctor abilities while prone. My doctor skills may as well not exist while I'm trying to fight solo, since I have to choose to either spend most of my time healing myself because I pull aggro since I'm not under cover, or to take cover and use conceal shot sparingly enough and hope that the mobs never catch on. Otherwise, it's cover-conceal-discovered-stand-heal-heal-heal-heal, then you have to run away, re-cover, and crawl back for the next mob.

Also there is food to drop the wait time on stims.

Ack, get a new med suplier, crafted Stim D's (cl 60) can hit 1200, and janta stim d's i craft can hit over 1300 power

im gonna let you guys in on a secret. I can heal faster than a master doc with no med skills. ON my server (tarq) stim D's with 1200 power arent hard to find. Now its that damn 60 second timer that kills you right? wrong. Go to your neighboor hood chef and get him to make yuo crates of ruby biel with the lowest filling possible. When you fight use no other drinks. As soon as you take more than 1200 damage use a stim. Now this is where the food comes in. If you can wait the 60 secs till you can heal again, but htis is unlikely. Take a ruby and you can immediately take another stim. Not only that the times is reduced to 30 secs after that stim. Now you try to make it 30 secs, if not take another ruby and stim again. Using this technique i can keep up to jedis with heals. The key is trying to space it out as much as you can cause when you stomach is full you are in trouble. I had some newb 220k jedi on my server convinced i was a master rifel master bh master doc (lol not even close to enough points). Im trying to keep this a secret cause it makes me far superior to any other non jedi. I an solo jedi aslong as they dont have alot of defender with this. Practice it, it will save your butt

I work on not getting hit so I don't have to use heals. For pvp it isn't hard to keep a creature or npc at 30+ meters with knockdowns, roots, snares and delay shots. The npc's with rifles are a bit of a problem, but most PVE content can be managed now rather than tanked.
