Thread: can rifleman dev provide a breakdown of shots?
of what all the rifleshots are suppose to do?
I'm confused as to shots like
surpriseshot: surprises the enemy. (are we giving him a party?)
startle and flushing both seem to stun and raise position.

Suprise Shot is used in cover, and when used the enemy doesnt react. (charge you) until you miss.
Flushing Shot 2 is AE, and stuns and raises posture.
Startle Shot 2 is AE, and raises posture (worthless as above does the same thing)
The 1's are single target.

I thought Conceal shot did this? If not, what does conceal shot do? If so, how are the two different?

by the way, where can i find a complete table of the damage and delay multipliers for the rifleman's specials? thanks
Ooooh! That would be priceless. The one in the Prima strategy guide is highly suspect since the book was written and based on Beta info and entire classes have been rewritten since then and is in no danger of becoming stable any time soon.

From what I've read, the multiplier is 3x on surpirse shot.

Most of these numbers are thanks to Flyojumper, with a few taken from other palces and a couple done myself, formatting and status changes by "WayneInAustin" on the rifleman forum.
DISCLAIMER: The following info was culled from miscellaneous posts in this forum. I make NO STATEMENT as to their accuracy. If anyone has more accurate info, please respond here and I will update my information.
Regular Auto-Attacks do 1.5 times the base damage stats on the weapon (so a 60-100 would do 90-150 auto attacks). The following damage and time multipliers are relative to auto attacks damage and time (x1.0 being an auto attack).
Rifles:
Head Shot1 ........... Damage x1.5 ........ Time x1.5
Head Shot2 ........... Damage x2.5 ........ Time x1.75
Head Shot3 ........... Damage x3.0 ........ Time x2.0
Mind Shot1 ............ Damage x1.5 ........ Time x1.8 - Bleed attack
Mind Shot2 ............ Damage x2.0 ........ Time x2.0 - Bleed attack
Conceal Shot ......... Damage x2.5 ........ Time x3.0
Surprise Shot......... Damage x3.0 ........ Time x?.? -
Flushing Shot1 ...... Damage x2.0 ........ Time x2.1 -
Flushing Shot2 ...... Damage x4.0 ........ Time x?.? - AE damage + raises posture + stun
Flurry Shot1 .......... Damage x2.5 ........ Time x2.0 - Dizzy
Flurry Shot2 .......... Damage x4.0 ........ Time x?.? - AE damage + dizzy
Startle Shot1 ......... Damage x2.0 ........ Time x2.1
Startle Shot2 ......... Damage x4.0 ........ Time x?.? - AE damage + raises posture

I will double check what I'm seeing when I get on tonite, but Im sure I've seen
both position raising commands I have on hot key, produce a stun effect.
Pulling together a list would be great, especially if we can get the dev to verify it,.
Maybe there are effects we're not seeing, or stuff that is suppose to be working
but isnt.
