the best/easiest way for me that i got xp going up begining in rifleman was to go to rori in restuss and do the leviasquall missions or just go out and look for them. you can do healshot on all that are at the lair and then just kite all of them as u shoot them with your rifle. if you get a mousedroid group member and leave it in town you can get 1.8k exp per one you kill. there fairly easy and they give decent hide. if you find two within the same proximity of eachother kill all the leviasqualls and then go to the other lair. dont destroy the lairs cuz of the respawn after 5 min or so. the levia's will be reset and you can make more than 70k exp an hour depending on how close the two lairs are

What type of skills do you have? Did you take support for ranged weapons in marksman? If so, then monsters should be fairly easy.

Ok, at novice you have mind shot 1. With the bleeds from this, you should be able to bleed most monsters of 10k hams. Takes a while, but, not that hard really.

Moutain squill on tatooine are 3k+ exp. As of last night they do not baf (no idea when or why this changed, cuz they used too. I was trying to help a friend get the babies, so, was pulling them in singles to kill). Anyway, just north of bestine you should find a nest or two.

Here is the plan:

Move to 62-59 meters from the target. Go prone. Shoot 1, 2, or 3 bleeds to make sure you get a nice high 1000 point one (800ish might do. Been meaning to test how many bleed ticks we get). Make sure once you land the bleed you want you hit peace. Run back 84 metersish from the target.

Wait for him to bleed and charge. When he hits 63/60 meters warning shot/peace. If warning did not take, get another one off. You can usually get 3 chances at warning before you are kicked to the curb. Most of the time a single warning will work.

The monster runs off to about 112/134 meters. If he dissappears from your traget, chase him unitl you can target him again. He will charge once a bleed ticks again. Repeat above process with warning until he is dead. Make sure when he dies you are within 80 meters of him.

Doing this will let you kill them at 3k per pretty much none stop. With single bleeds, probably take you 2 min per kill. If you get double bleeds on them, take about 1min to kill each. Killing them 80ish meters from the nest seems to insure you a steady spawn of them.

Weapons tips: I use a laser rifle with damage slice and 32 power up to make bleed. Laser has decent accuracy for a rifle. I switch to e-11/t21 for warning (e-11 has good accuracy and fast, so, it is a nice choice. Its speed is not so fast that you will shoot 2twice on accident and mess up warning. A spray stick misses a lot more (as does Jawa) then e-11. E-11 also has a pretty low ham cost).

Grrowl, that is a great tip! thanks.

Can you go into more detail on reading the bleed icon? What are you looking for? Do mindshots add up or does each one replace the previous? thanks!

One more note. I have been using Traps very effectively against things that are pursuing me up to very recently. Now I use Warning shot, but that accidental 2nd followup shot can undo the goodness.

Mind shot 1 and mind shot 2 stack. Meaning they will both work at the same time verses a monster. I believe mind shot 2 is in box 1 of the the sniper tree line (might be box 2).
If you shoot more then once with the same mind shot (like shooting 2 mind shot 1s) the higher value will be used to damage the monster and the timer (how long it will last) resets.

In deciding when to stop shooting I look at my chat box where damage is displayed. You use this box because bleeds do not care about armor pierce, armor, or resist of a target. Once I see a bleed damage of 800+, i usually dont waste more mind shooting more off hoping to get a higher one.

Oh, and I did not mention this, but, when you go prone, your target will not attack you for 3 shots. If you kneel, you get 2 free ones, and standing gets you just 1:] That's why I go prone and do it up to 3 times.

As for two warning shoots, that is why I like e-11 rifle. It is slow enough for you to shoot once, hit peace, see effect, shoot again. Speaysticks will often negate the warning shot with another shot (well, if you are lucky enough to hit twice with these **edit** guns :] ).

A cautionary note, anything that bafs will come on the first attack. You can use this to your advantage though when you want to bring the add and not the target. For instance, if there are two monsters one red and one yellow, I might want to kill the yellow first. So, I go to 80ish meters from the red con and hit the attack key. The red con (the one I am targetting) will not come because I am out of range for my weapon to fire. The Baf friend will come though. Usually, I will run off with it chasing me until I am good and out of baf range and then land a bleed/warning shot on it. Unless it is humaniod, then I just land a bleed and do the prone run trick.

Where do i go to get novice rifleman xp?

I know the tips said to kill banthas..but banthas were made faster with either the patch or hotfix or whatever..but now they cant be outrun.

And any mob that gives over 500 xp takes a lifetime to kill with just a rifle...

any ideas?
