Are you doing PvP or PvE?

PvP/PvE I would say TKM. Effective in both and you get the toiughness.

PvE? It's a toss up. Pikeman gives you armor piercing medium(as opposed to light on TKM). You also get a second damage type(Electrical). Pikeman is a lot of fun in PvE. Not much good in PvP, from what I understand.

Fencer also goes really nicewith Rifleman, very nice state defenses. A lot of fencers complain about there ability to do damage to high end mobs, but I have no problem with it until I do stuff like the DWB, the hard Corvette mobs, and Krayts ect.

Fencer is my favorite melee profession w/ Rifleman.

Polearmsrock socks if you can afford tapes and exceptional DoT lances, but there's some nice stone knives too.

And I'd get pistoleer 104x until you get the tapes to cap dodge.

My template which is a work in progress is this....

Keep in mind that i just dropped BH 0040, Smuggler 0040, Pistoleer 0040, Fencer 0040, TKA 0004. Yes i was a pistol user in that template and i found it lacking even when using a 420max dmg Geno pistol.

So i changed, did master rifles from novice in 11hrs flat out grinding on Sunday, and are working towards this....

Master Rifles "Speed capped with tapes", Pistoleer 0040 "for its defense bonuses", Fencer 4440 "again its defense and melee Mit 2, Medic 1140 "for stim D's"

Now i have no problems in PvE whatsoever, we all know how Rifles outdmg other profs against Krayts and so on. My stats on defense work out like this....

Block 80 "standard master rifle skill"

Defense Vs Blind +90

Defense Vs Dizzy +90

Defense Vs Intimidate +20

Defense Vs Knockdown +100

Defense Vs Posture Change Down +70

Defense Vs Posture Change Up +30

Defense Vs Stun +50

Dodge +100 "only work when using a Dodge type weapon"

Melee Defense +111

Ranged Defense +149

Melee Mitigation 2

Ranged Mitigation 3

Rifle Accuracy 170

While moving +10

Rifle Speed +90

As you can see, its like a Melee stackers defense but with Rifles offense, so fairly well allrounder tbh, I will use this in both PvE and PvP to good effect i think

Oh final note, add +25 from stun clothing "BE made" and +25 to Rifle Accuracy and while moving mods, and anything else i can get my hands on to boost it.
