Ive been hearing of a rifle you loot from tuskens. They look like tuscan rifles but they do KINETIC damage. I hear also you loot an item that looks likea krayt pearl and you turn it into this rifle. Anyone know the name and what you loot this from. I can really use a kin dam rifle.
rumor. No such rifle. (unless you mean the Tuskan King rifle which we are not cert'd for (it is part of darklighters quests on tattooine)
Krayt Pearls do not turn into rifles...
some one is feeding you a line.... spit out the hook

smooth stone is for the carbine..tusken executioner head is for the rifle

ty6 that what it was it was the lithium rifle. And thank you for telling me that they changed it to energy. Y DID THEY DO THAT.
Currently kinetic is a reserved damage type for Melee according to the devs. The Lithium Rifle was kinetic for all of 2 days - sorry did not realize you were talking about that rifle. It is just a copy of the tuskan rifle with a different name essentially. Currently only one rifle has Kinetic damage on it and it is unusable by rifleman.

The Devs may say that kinetic is reserved for Melee, but anyone with pistols-III can pick up a Striker Pistol and dealkinetic damage.

devs don't really consider the striker a viable weapon...
on a given day how many strikers do you see used (or even in a month?)
Every time I'm running with a tank when attacking NS who are 100% resist to energy. The Striker I'm running currently does around 170 - 320max pup'd (if I recall) and being master marksman I can dish out a whopping 750 points of damage per kick up shot. Even though it's AP0 and doesn't do much then chip away at her total health bar, it's just good to feel that I'm able to help out or at least finish her off when they decide to walk away before dying.

I did not say I did not view it as viable - read my newbfaq - mention the striker for NS. But on the whole it does less damage then a decent tuskan - the only time it is viable for us is if the mob is everything but kinetic resistant.
I was not the one who said that the damage was a reserved type the devs did... I think they made a mistake if that was the case leaving the striker in. But as it does have a much lower damage potential then a tuskan would have I can see them thinking it is less viable.
