I'm currently going Master Creature Handler, 4-4-4-0 Ranger, and I will have 41 points left. I was hoping to go into the Rifleman tree with the rest. Which trees should I get, in order to become the most effective. Or if carbine/pistoleer might be better to dabble into?

I don't like melee skills though.

you'd be best off going for master in at least 1 combat profession, with that you wouldn't be able to hold your own in pvp and in pve you wouldn't be doing enough dmg

Sounds like the outdooresy type. A real fun template. Your creatures can do decent damage at the master creature handler level and while I would like to suggest you go rifle you would get more benefit from dabbling in the pistols field. You can have some nice tanks and damage dealers as CH (not to great in pvp but excellent in pve). Make sure you grab up lots of pet stims as most of your combat will be pet related.

Great things are coming eventuallyfor CH's don't let the nay sayers hold you back from having fun and doing what you want ^_^
