Well, today, I was killin krayts, and found a canyon, I think sweet hope I get a pearl. Well, I go to attack, and lo and behold 3 swordsman show up and start attackin for dmg too. Seemed like they were speed capped, maybe not tho. Then this n00b commando starts attacking. All the while I am pounding the krayt with strafe2. So as it starts running(I hate that) they laugh at me and start talking some sh!t. Once, dead, I walk over, this is where it gets good, I go to loot, not expecting anything, and I was like Holy F***in Sh!t, I got loot. Boy were they pissed. It was 8 69 dmg tissue, -.56 spd.

Anything like this ever happen to you?

currently loot goes to the person who did the Highest damaging single attack. Almost always a rifleman vs a krayt.

I thought that commando was doing the highest damaging single attack. All that I'm saying is that I outdmg'd 3 swordsman and a commando...I was ungrouped

Commandoes damage effectivly does not count toward loot rights.

More correctly. Commando DoT does not count toward loot rights.

both are correct - most Commando damage comes from DOT's and therefore Commando attackseffectively do not count toward loot rights.

I was watching a swordsman kill a krayt earlier and he was doing at most 1200dmg. I went at it with SS2 when the resists started dropping to help him out, I know at least 1 shot hit for over 4k. Once the resists hit 30% I stopped shooting, the swordsman got loot rights.

I'll buy either the most damaing group or most damaging single person in a group wins rights, but not the most damaging single attack.

Rifleman can steal looting rights from anyone in the game except high level jedi....in some cases if the jedi is not MLS or at least have level 4 in any saber style, a rifleman can still outdamage them....it's the heavy armor peircing that helps in most cases......then you add in that rifleman have the second highest damage mod on a special (strafe shot 2) and with a better than average T21 and when it comes to looting rights, rifleman are the best in the game.

On a ancient krayt last night, 10k of damage (out of 426k) was not done by flamedots. the rest was done by either one of my 3 flamethrowers, or the 2 TK's that were tanking for me.

Commando's do have an EXTEMELY powerful attack, only problem is is vs a krayt dragon, they do 12.5% of it while riflemen get to keep 100% of the damage and stay speed capped.

On ancients, Commandoes out DPS rifleman, I have bothe a 856 max T21 and 850ish flamethrowers, commandoes Flame dots are NOT affected by armor or resistance, just raw damage. the problem is that the there dot damage unlike say CM's do not count toward loot rights. I can work on an ancient for 15 mins, have it down to 20k of health, and a rifleman can KS it, because my attacks only did around 400-500 damage, the fire dots did the rest.
