Its actually pretty poor mate 
The poison when you get it to stick will tick 4 times before the duration wears off, and in my experience 109 strength will hardly touch someones HAM if they are buffed, you'll probably find that their HAM will have pretty much regenerated in between each tick.
If you use it - wait till their HAM (whichever HAM the poison is for) is very low before using it as thats probably the only time it will really help you out.

yah addionally with oknly 1k uses that wouldn't last too long =( ifi someone had some 100 resist buffs you'd be wasting it when you shoot em.

Keep killing friend. Rifles with dots that sting are out there, but rare. The easiest to find with similar stats to yours are from regular tuskens at the tusken fort - maybe a .01% drop - just burn through the fort running circles strafing anything you can for a couple hours and you can get 100-200 strength mind poison dots. Nightsisters drop laser rifles like the one you got and occasionally, maybe .001% drop of a nice dot. The best kills I've seen for high-powered dot rifles are dark jedi knights and masters on either dath by the imperial prison or randomly spread on dantooine. The drop rate of nice items is much higher on NPC jedi, maybe 5% will drop a decent dot weapon in the 200-300 strength range.

got this off a Sith Shadow Thug twoweeks ago.. sure it's not a DoT laser rifle, but anything over 1k max damage always make my face hurt when I grin too long ^.-
anyways, this goes to show that there are indeed very nice loot rifles out there.. hunting for them's tons of fun =)

that is a nice rifle... to bad about the ranged mitigation issue. I would antidecay that sucker in a sec and make it my everyday rifle - useful on pretty much anything except stuff with heavy armor (and then only slightly less useful then a 600 damage t-21)

Nice stats considering it is a looted weapon
However, I'd have liked to see it without PuPs on as I'm too lazy to subtract the damage
