Anyone know what the new speed cap numbers or accuracy cap numbers are for Rifleman now?

I also would like to know what rifle speed the point of diminishing returns occurs at.

I know it isn't from what you get with Master Rifles only. I think I'm like 85 and I fire so slow that I have never come close to having my action run out.

Not sure about rifles, but I hit a System cap when Crafting my Pistol. And when Wielding it, with my mods I'm at 1.0 Pistol Speed.

OK, step back a second.

Remember that the CU has change nearly everything we know about combat.

Realize that specials have set delays, and there is no true auto-attack anymore.

Realize that your weapon speed stat is there for fluff, they could just put a base attack damage value on there and remove damage ranges and speed and dps, and be dont with it.

Against the same target, in the same state, you will always do the same damage per fire with the same specials.

Speed has not bearing on rate of fire (rof) anymore, I does have an affect on your DPS value though, which is used to determine your damage per hit. So no more trying to get very slow weapons so that you don't waste skill mods on 1 second speed capped weapon.

It could be possible that capped speed will no longer increase dps, but that would require a huge lack of foresight on the devs part. I suspect your dps value will still increase, even though it doesn't make sense for it to.

Personally, I hate the dps system. There's no point to it, if there is no such thing as speed to a weapon.

Then again, weapon speed could affect your special's timers, but I haven't noticed a difference.

Speed will always help you have a higher dps but at some point for you you must decide whether adding more speed is worth the skill point investment. This is actually more of personal preference now then a hard and fast rule.

You all of course could read the faq and see the speed break points....

(but that would be like work would it not)

I was at total speed of 135 and I did one of those rifle speed boosters for +10 rifle speed and myT21's modded DPS went from from 494 to 502

Not sure about what force skills would do but I think the max speed you can have fromprofession modifiersfor rifle is 140 (Rifle/BH/Marksman/Pistol 3000)
