Thread: I got hit for 3584 in PvP the other day
Yep, even if i had been buffed with enhance action/health D's I still would have been 1 shotted. This was in a test situation, I was prone with my rifle out and my brother shot me with his LLC. Since heavy weapons all count as melee weapons for some hereto unrevealed reason I took 2.5x damage from the LLC, plus whatever the increase is due to being prone.
This means PvE he would have done 14336 damage to a riflewielding prone mob. Yet T21's doing upwards of 3000 damage was ridiculous? The absolute most I've ever hit for on an AR0 mob with 5% energy resistance (so that the AP3 actually takes effect) was a 8842 after AP increase, base damage was around 4500. That's in an isolated situation (and was with startle shot 2).
Lately I've been aggroing mobs that shoot at me, he waits for them to get prone and one shots them, 10k HAM? So what, hardly anything resists electricity anyways.
Yeah, a BH cheapshotted me with his LLC using a revenge flag. Which was wrong for two reasons.
I felt like an AT-ST being torched by a commando. Just shouldn't happen, not when they get the first shot.
And while I'm here. Can you guys believe the timing the devs have with us? Like Silverlobo I think this class has its place in the SWG universe, and I don't think we're underpowered. BUT, the devs' timing is bogus.
Some times to consider:
1month + about 2 weeks- Time it took for the T21to be fixed. Granted it took them even longer to fix commando weapons.
24 hours - Time it took to nerf the T21 when it was felt we were given an unfair advantage. Whether we did or not, 24 hours was super fast in dev time.
4 days - Time it took the T21 to be changed backafter Holo redid the numbers.
Almost 3 months and counting - Time its taken to get the T21 to a number of servers.
Almost 3 months and counting -Time its taken to fix Surprise Shot. (Still doesn't work)
Almost 3 months and counting- Time its taken to fix Block. It MUST be broken because I see pistoleers dodging, and meleers counterattacking, but I've never seen a single block. (on a personal note, doesn't this effect sound retarded? We block a shot?Do we backhand it? Pfft, only one profession I know that can block blaster fire in star wars, and they use light sabers.)
2 weeks and counting - Time its taken them to fix a severe disadvantage to us when facing bounty hunters or commandos.
Seems like the only time we're priority #1 is when we're the overpowered ones. Its like the road to improvement or fixing bugs is uphill, slippery, with big rocks, while the road to nerf is a downhill slik-track.

Back to the topic though. The problem you see with the LLC is what I have been screaming about for awile. SOE continues to bank on the gamers doing their testing. When you ask the people who have a interest in how well a profession is to do your testing there will be balance issues. What I have seen is they are not doing any quality control what so ever to see if their changes effect balance.
